Miami's Kyle Lowry has played admirably for someone who will turn 38 March 25.

Lowry makes $29,682,540.

I wonder if Miami would consider swapping Lowry for Collin Sexton ($17,325,000) and Kelly Olynyk ($12,195,122). I'm not advocating the trade, but the math is about equal in salary in this 1 for 2. Miami only has 14 men under contract so they could do it.

Realistically Miami has to include their 2028 and 2030 1rst Round Picks, unprotected, since their pick situation (below) may prevent them from conveying their 2027 pick if they convey a 1rst to OKC in 2026. The only second round pick that Miami has is the Lakers 2026 second round pick.

Miami's pick situation is:

2024 1rst, can't trade
2025 1rst to OKC Top 14 Protected
2026 1rst Unprotected to OKC if not coveyed in 2025; Lakers 2nd Round Pick
2027 1rst, can't trade if pick conveyed in 2026
2028 1rst Available
2029 1rst Available
2030 1rst Available

So, it would be Lowry + 2028 Unprotected 1rst + 2030 Unprotected 1rst for Sexton and Olynyk.

Again, not advocating it, but it's a plausible trade from a numbers perspective. Don't know if either Utah or Miami would actually do it. This is what I do, think of situations like this.

In terms of value I think it's a fair and interesting proposal, and I also like the fit of Sexton and Olynyk with the Heat. Not a bad offer by any means.

That's what I thought, but it's a moot point.

The Heat just traded Kyle Lowry to Charlotte for Terry Rozier + 1rst Round Pick in 2027 (lottery protected) or 2028 (Unprotected).

I hope we don't trade Sexton. He's really playing well and he is signed on a favorable contract for two more seasons.

I'd like to keep Olynyk too, but I know he is on an expiring and the Jazz will probably have a lot of competition to re-sign him next summer.
