And and two (in a row) of them were to the Blazers. The Jazz benefit twice.

Ranking 2024 Free Agents by Cost per Win Share
https://sports.yahoo.com/fact-or-fiction-the-nbas-2024-free-agency-class-was-a-dud-175638573.html
This article is from last Friday, so may be missing a recent game or two for some players. I hope they update it later in the season.
A few takeaways:
Worst return on a free agent signing so far is Paul George at a cost of $90 million per win share. Lol.
The best return on a mid tier free agent is Kris Dunn at $1 million per win share. Dunn has the Clippers' highest net rating at NBA.com by a wide margin, primarily due to his defense. He's started the last 8 games for the Clippers. I miss his defense, though keeping him would have wrecked our tank. That said, we better get something out of the tank. I don't want to lose for nothing.
The best return on a low-cost free agent is Tyus Jones, tied with Jay Huff, at roughly half a million per win share. Jones signed a cheap, one year deal with Phoenix at below market value for the promise to start and showcase his skills towards a payday next summer.

Re: Around The NBA, 2024-2025 Season
How can the Pels and 76ers be tanking so bad? these two teams should be in the middle of the pack if healthy. I know they are beat up and hurt. But they seam to have the same players hurt over and over and over and teams keep ponying up big bucks for part time players who never deliver wins. Teams need to have part in the signing were you lose percentage if you don't play enough games. I bet guys would be playing lot more games. Fake injuries.

The Pelicans finally won a game. Now is the time to take advantage and create some separation. If only the Wizards would be less pathetic...

Now that Dejounte Murray is out for the season, I wonder if the Pelicans will have interest in Sexton.

Apparently the Wizards think they've been winning too many games, based on their recent trades.

Re: Around The NBA, 2024-2025 Season
Exum had a nice game last night in Mavs' win over Boston: 15 pts on 8 fga with 5 assists. It was only his 4th game of the season. Odds are he will get hurt again, but I am rooting for Exum to have an extended run with no injuries. He doesn't get hurt from lack of conditioning or work ethic imo, he just seems to be injury prone.
Likewise, Jared Vanderbilt recently came back to help the Lakers with defense and rebounding. He pulled down 14 rebs and 4 offensive rebs in a Laker win over the Warriors last night In just his sixth game this season.

The Mavs were worried about Doncic's durability so they traded him for Davis, who in his first game with the Mavs exits the game with a non-contact injury. Who could have seen this coming?

Not only do mega stars fall into their lap regardless of how good or bad their front office is, even when they get fleeced in a trade they somehow manage to undo it. Freaking Lakers, man...

Good sign for Utah in our pursuit of Luka.

Apparently, it's Allstar weekend. Couldn't be bothered with it, watched the edited versions of the dunk and 3-pt contests without all the fluff. Man, what a terrible product it has become. Other than Mac McClung, it was a total embarrassment. In fact, McClung even exposed this sham further by showing up prepared and nailing all his dunks in the first try, unlike everyone else, dude came to put in work. And the scoring of the dunk contest was the biggest embarrassment of all. A guy can miss all his dunks and get 40 points from all the refs. Which means that I, and everyone on this board and their grandmothers can get 40 points out of 50 in an NBA dunk contest. And when they give 40 points for missed dunks it also doesn't leave much room work with made dunks. What a disgrace.

Used to be excited for it, only one I have watched in years was when it was in Utah.

Sounds like you missed the best part. Wemby and CP3 got disqualified from the skills challenge for trying to cheat their way to a win. It was hilarious, and extremely representative of what the NBA has become. Instead of competition between the best players in the world, it's just a bunch of guys trying to take advantage of rule loopholes in order to win at any cost.
New York said Mitchell wasn't the guy you trade the sink for, then they traded it for Mikal, lol.
