I didnt even know Williams was sick....but in a game like this, I dont think an amputated leg would stop him. I think our team is going to show up big this game and show people WHAT IS UP!

If Deron can't go 100% I'm not so sure about this one.

Hopefully Memo continues to play hot and we'll have another AK47 sighting.

I was gonna say pretty much what AKsWill said. I think that we can win this game, but if Deron's feeling even a little bit weird than we're screwed.

Deron is good against adversity.

Remember the game last year after Deron came back from a bad ankle against Denver and simply took it to them time after time.

Flawed Deron>>>Regular Deron.

I feel like the Jazz extremely consistently provide an enormous letdown for fans every time there's a big game. They seemed to break that cycle, however, with their blowout of San Antonio. Hopefully that's the trend that continues.

Deron had to get his leg amputated?

I feel confident the Jazz wil have a chance to win this game in the 4th quarter. New Orleans does not have a great home court advantage, they are a more dangerous team on the road.

It may be too hopeful for the Jazz to win both this game at NO and Thursday at Dallas. That's why if we can pull it off tonight the game against Dallas is almost like a bonus. 2-0 would be nice though, and huge for getting home court advantage.

Here's to Williams continuing to own CP and a Jazz vicory to clinch the division....GO JAZZ!!

I just think the Jazz have the momentum in this game. The Hornets though they have won 11 in a row at home have barely squeaked the last few out over the likes of the Knicks and the Warriors.

The Jazz will come out pumped after the long break and I expect to see solid execution and Deron Williams dominance.

I only hope not to be swept in the first quarter like we did last time we were in NO

Lakers fan here, hoping the Jazz beat The Hornets tonight, helps us get closer to #1  and provides reasons why Daron might be better than Paul!

Jazz fan here, hoping the Lakers get the first seed, then collapse against Denver. and provides more reasons why Koby is not good enough to take a team to the finals without shaq!

You know what bugs me more than a Laker fan? A Laker fan posting in a Jazz/Hornets game thread. You know what bugs me more than that? A Laker fan posting in a Jazz/Hornets game thread who also spells Deron as "Daron".

Anyways... we win tonight by 5 in a close one. I hope Memo continues the hot streak. As long as we play 4 quarters instead of 3 like last time, I think the Jazz have a pretty good shot. David West has been playing very well lately... and Booz needs to keep the good defense up. I think West had like 8 or 9 straight field goals in that game on Sunday against the warriors. It will be a good game.

Jazz win 108-103.

I'm looking forward to the game. I always look forward to this matchup.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

What the hell was he on last game? The dude looked better than Paul for most of the game. I've always liked Pargo's game...

He just went hawt to end the game, and we had the momentum during that game. We are gonna need to kill the pick and roll and the kickouts for three pointers and exploit the matchup problem with Stojakovic.

^agreed.

Duiz, I have been an ass to you in the past. I apologize... and must admit that you are in my opinion a very good poster, especially lately. :nohomo:

Anyways... I would like to see AK post up Peja some in this game, maybe get him in foul trouble. But you're exactly right about the pick and roll or pop that they run with CP, Chandler, and Peja in the corner. We got burned by that exact play 2 times in the final minutes of that last game down there. I hope the coaches picked up on that and corrected it. It seemed to me that Boozer was the odd man out on most of the rolls... and AK had to help Deron with Paul cutting to the hoop, which left Peja wide open in the corner. Ya, its a damn good play and they run it very well. I would hope we force Chris Paul to drive to the hoop and cut off that alley-oop to Chandler... but its up to that 4th man coming over to help from the weak-side -- either Boozer or whoever is playing the SG spot. I'll definitely be watching for it tonight.
