He defends in space and rebounds better than Bogey. He's also better creating with the ball in his hands.
Been a while since I last saw Barnes play, that could've been him coming off of an injury as well

That sounds like more of the Barnes from the Dubs. Would be a great fit then

But Bojan for Barnes, though? Bogey has been really durable since that hand injury, Barnes has been in and out of the IL

And Norm Powell for super cheap…
Ingles is cooked.

Barnes would be a really nice pickup. He's not a star but gives the Jazz an NBA caliber SF in size, athleticism, and defense.
Sadly, think some team will outbid the Jazz (not hard to do).

This makes me wonder if it’s turned into a buyers market and you see Barnes/grant go for way cheaper than most think

It's possible but I think it's more on the blazers possibly be enamored with Keon Johnson. Still seems like a lot for him.

Hopefully someone becomes enamored with Jared Butler…

Ingles + Butler for Grant or Barnes? Sign me up.

Grant and Barnes are not the same tier. I'd consider parting with Butler in a Grant deal. Though strongly would prefer not; but if we got back Corey Joseph as well. It wouldn't be the worst thing. I love Barnes but don't really want to trade Butler who could be our potential PG of the future.

Hopefully, someone will get enamored with Dok. We should unload him as soon as we can while he still has some semblance of value.

We should also get Nic Claxton while he is gettable.

I wonder if Pelicans missing out on CJ would open them up to a Clarkson deal for like Hart. Sure it's not the exact type of player we want but I think he'd fit our rotation very well and he's a hell of a rebounder especially for his size. Maybe even throw in Ingles expiring and take back Temple's contract off their hands

He hasn't had much opportunity to show it with the Nets, but Claxton can dribble, pass and shoot too. People are sleeping on him.

(edit) Did I mention he can defend 1-5?

I’d love Hart for Clarkson and I’d be fine to a swing at Claxton depending on the cost

I like Dok and would like to see him continue to develop. I think Hassan is the piece you trade, he is not staying around long term so use him to sweeten a package if needed. He is on a great deal and performing above where he gets paid.

I'd pay up for Jerami Grant. If we can get Josh Richardson or Josh Hart in another deal, do that too. If we don't feel secure about Whiteside, then we'd try a third deal for a backup 5.

In the end, it will probably cost us Ingles, O'Neale, Clarkson and 1 or 2 FRPs, but a lineup with Conley, Mitchell, Richardson, Grant and Gobert is really solid.

I don't think we will see that much movement during the season, that would be more of an offseason type move. By looking at past years we might trade for 1 person. Think Ingles for someone, since he won't be playing for us again under this contract.

Ingles into cap space to reduce tax bill is the likeliest move, imo.......

Has to be a mutual decision between both parties though. Joe has to go somewhere he thinks he can contribute or win

Which team though? I feel Ingles is one of those rare breed who plays for only one franchise, his choice and the organization's

Why? He's not playing again this season and his contract is up....... Like someone else said, he can re-sign with the Jazz in the offseason.......

I think that is the move they want, but I think the cost of dumping the salary is going to be too much. I think we will have to take some salary back.

Ingles for Craig, Holiday work. This would help the Pacers have even more money for free agency this offseason. Unfortunately I think we would have to include a pick to dump Ingles contract. Ugg
