I'm hoping we find a trade for Neto with the same rationale. I just think Mack is the better player.

Both deserve a spot in this league, but I think Mack will return us more. I guess the difference between a good and a bad second rounder isn't much though...I just want to get Cedi Osman from the Cavs.

We'll probably trade that pick for cash anyway...

Ya, Portland is a bad matchup for us for whatever reason. Although, I think they're a matchup problem for many teams in the league. Dame and CJ are REALLY tough to guard and the rest of their team is just solid. No real weaknesses anywhere and they execute so well. If you're not on your A game, they'll beat you every time and Dame has the ability to win a game on his own.

I really think that Chris Johnson will make the team. The guy has been awesome all pre-season long. I'm in the camp that Mack is the far better player but that Neto is much cheaper for the future. I'd be sad to see either of those guys go but I think it's worth it considering our depth at PG.

I'm becoming more concerned with the Jazz defense. I'm abandoning the idea that we'll be good because we have been in the past. We've had some fundamental problems on the defensive end in pre-season, independent of missing Favors and Hayward. We're bad on rotations, we're over helping in the paint and leaving shooters wide open far too often. We've also been getting killed on back door cuts. I think that's probably the biggest thing we need to improve on quickly or else we'll be in a world of hurt to start the season.

I'm also not encouraged by last nights game that our chronic problem of getting behind early only to make a "too little, too late" comeback in the 4th quarter has been resolved. That was an exact copy of the all the close games we lost last year. Down in the 3rd. Comeback that falls short in the 4th. That really needs to get figured out or else we'll lead the league again in close game losses.

Every time I see ingles, I'm like what? Then I remember Burks is injured and it's not Snyder love. Same thing with Mack. Plus it's pre-season, so the rotations included everyone. Mack is better than neto, so I've been hoping for a neto trade too. I don't think netos contract makes him worth holding onto and it's unusual to start the season with all the roster spots filled.

It's a brutal start to the season. I wouldn't say pre-season was disappointing, but the injuries were. Blazers are serious business, they were playoff team, we weren't.

INDEPENDENCE, Ohio -- The Cavaliers are pursuing a trade to acquire a backup point guard and are hoping to make a deal before the season starts Tuesday, sources told cleveland.com.

The Cavs are in advanced discussions with at least one club, according to a source, and could make one or multiple trades to fill the one, glaring need on a team otherwise built to defend its 2016 championship.

Mack + second for protected first? Go get it done, DL!

Cedi for Mack! I don't even know if Cedi is good, but he looked alright the last time I saw him play.

Cedi is not as good as what we can get in the back end of the first round of next year's draft.

Any good stash prospects in the late first round this draft? I haven't gotten into it much yet.

Too early. Haven't researched yet. Svi might be there... Not sure I'm as high on him as I used to be. It's gonna be interesting to see what he does this year. He's still super young for a junior. He's a 19 year old Junior in college. Damn. He'll have his 20th birthday around the draft.

Edit: checking international lists now:
Jonathan Jeanne is a 7'2'' skinny Frenchman with great skill and physical profile. He might actually shoot up the boards and not be available at the end of the first.

Wouldn't shock me. I thought it was somewhat odd that the Jazz didn't announce all of the final cuts at once. It makes me think that there might be something in the works that will clear a roster spot up for Johnson.

That's the exact type of trade I was hoping DL could get. Protections should be low. And let's hope the Cavs cruise through season not caring about first in Eastern conference.

Seems like Cavs 2017 pick is not tradeable so I guess Cedi is a good value for Mack. I'm warming up to this trade. GO GET IT DONE, DL!

Atlanta just waived Jarret Jack. Their PG depth seems worse than than Cleveland's.
