Poku, Bolmaro, and Maledon might be my top 3 in terms of BPA. Bey, Reed, and Green probably fit need the best.

Poku in particular looks like such a unique talent.

People are not discussing Maxey much. I remember watching him in the beginning of the season(seems ages ago) and he was one of the few players that looked like NBA player to me on that roster. What has happened with his stock? I haven't been too much into the draft this season. Isn't he an option for us?

Dotson is tough and physical. Reminds me a little of Terry Rozier.

DraftExpress has posted some cool workout/interview vids. I'll post a few of them here...

Josh Green looks pretty good. His role and his impact could be similar to Donte Divincenzo, imo.

Tyrese Maxey looks amazing. Great interview. Best interview I've heard since Donovan.

Jaden McDaniels looks okay. A bit soft and finesse. At least he's working.

I still like Reggie Perry as a sleeper in this draft. I think he's underrated and, like Paul Reed, would be a good pick-up in the early 2nd round. If the Jazz want a 4/5 with some handle, passing and shooting, he's a candidate. He doesn't have the 38" vertical, but his offensive game is actually more like Bam Adebayo's right now than Onyeka's is, imo. Think Al Horford on offense.

I'm a little lower on Tyler Bey. It doesn't look like his shooting is going to turn the corner. So much for the Ariza comps. Think more like Larry Nance Jr.

More Bey...

The Jazz have had success drafting young, physically underdeveloped European players in the 20s in the past--e.g., Andrei Kirilenko and Rudy Gobert. Some of these Euro players have been either under-scouted or met with some skepticism based on the overseas league they played in.

I watched Maledon on the French national team in their preparation for the WC last year. He played better than Ntilikina in those games but their coach(who I think is horrible BTW) still picked Frank for the WC. I was really impressed by Maledon in those games. I've seen young PGs struggle tremendously(Exum, Ntilikina) in those international games and Maledon actually looked like he belongs and he can play. Now, keep in mind that was a super small sample so no idea about whether this was just a weirdly strong stretch for him, or if this is his level in general.

I'd love to see some games of his in the French league.

His Euroleague numbers are really good for a teenager. He was only 18! 15/4/6 per36 on 56% TS playing close to 400 total minutes. Much better body of work than Advija or Bolmaro, for example. TBF those guys play for better teams.

The main gripe with him is that he’s not an athlete. But I think he can really play. You have to be really good to be producing like that at that age.

Most draft steals are guys who are said to be undersized or not athletic enough...just saying.

I'm not a huge Dotson fan, and I didn't like Maxey when he was being discussed as a top 5-8 pick, but I actually love him where he's being mocked now. If we could move up to 14 and grab him, I think he'd actually be a great compliment to Mitchell.

Also, I absolutely love Nate Hinton, I'd draft him at 23 but most mocks have him as a UDFA. I really, really want us to get a second round pick and grab him. He fits our team so well, he's got that Jimmy Butler attitude...I really think his upside is the best perimeter defender in the league. With the success of Lu Dort and Terence Davis, I don't know how he is being overlooked.

Where is Cole Anthony's stock?

nbadraft has him at 18.
CBS 17
SI 21
The Ringer 15 ??????

Is this real? What happened? I'd trade up for him.

Maxey and Anthony just didn't play that well this year. If you didn't know about his pre-college career, nothing Cole Anthony did in college would make you think he's a top prospect.

Someone has to drop. Guys like Jalen Smith, Tyrell Terry, Desmond Bane, etc. have been rising on some mocks, leading to other guys slipping. At first it was RJ Hampton, but now he seems to be moving up.

One of Hampton, Maxey or Anthony could fall to #20 or so. Poku is another guy who could slip.

Jaden McDaniels seems like the Kelly Oubre or Cam Reddish of this draft. Great tools and upside. Lacks mental focus. With him, it's all about his drive to improve.

I'm on the Killian Tillie bandwagon. If it weren't for injuries, he'd be in the 12-20 discussion. I'd love us to buy a second and grab him, while also drafting Bolmaro at 23. It would allow us to not sweat too much that Bolmaro is being stashed for two years (which might be nice, because he'd be closer to his prime on that first rookie contract).

If the Jazz drafted Malachi Flynn, I wouldn't hate it. Kid's a gamer and can really shoot.

Yah that Maxey interview is great, sounds like a Jazz or Heat player.

Man, I don't think I'd draft him in the first round, tbh. He's got a really narrow frame, I'm not sure his shooting translates, he's not an overwhelming athlete, and his court vision is below average. Looks very Brandon Jennings to me. I don't mind that as a backup, but I'm not crazy about him at all. If he's more recovered from his injury and is more athletic than he looked in college, maybe he's more interesting.

With such a hot motor, flying around the court, it would be surprising not to see him drafted.
