I'm also out on Simmons. If we stick with Mitchell + Gobert I'd love to see Hayward come back.

A healthy Hayward would be a good fit, but I think the Jazz fanbase burned the bridge with both Gordon and his wife when they left. I don't think the Jazz org was too happy how that went down either.

Hopefully time heals some wounds like it did with Vince Carter and the Raptors fans/org. But, it may be possible that's the case.

On another thread someone pointed out to me that nearly the entire Jazz organization is different since Gordon left. Owner, GM, most players, even colors (oi) and possibly even the coach.

Is Donovan closer to Jaylen Brown than Tatum is? If yes, he should be tapping up Jaylen to join the Jazz as the #1 option... once the playoffs are done. Jaylen will need to demand a trade to the Jazz, of course, and if he does... then:

Gobert + Bojan + FRPs + Swaps... for... Jaylen + Horford + Nesmith?

I'm not adding picks and swaps to Gobert for Jaylen Brown.

I bet Giddey hits Gobert with many more passes. He can pass to Bojan, Clarkson & whoever we can flip Conley for maybe Grant?

Actually a trade where both sides lose. Getting gobert makes Timelord redundant and overpay in terms of picks for JB

Utah swaps small for big. We need some guys who are 6-6 and up and switchable on the perimeter. Hayward is a smart defender - even though he has lost a step - and can be the secondary playmaker and secondary/tertiary scorer we need. I'm not sure we can get a non-risky player of that sort for what we have, so this seems like a good way to reshuffle the roster.

New York gets a veteran point guard at the cost of a second. Mike was really good for us this year, though he has been bad in the playoffs, but a starting caliber guy for a second isn't a deal that comes without some tradeoffs.

Charlotte swaps Hayward for some shorter contracts and a 3+D wing + a second (maybe the second should go to Utah, or be removed?).

Obviously not the theme you are going for with your trade, but assuming management do want to move on from Gobert and Charlotte is screaming for a centre, so you like any pieces (ex ball) to move Rudy to Charlotte?

Not really, since they aren't also putting Bridges on the table. If we were rebuilding I think Charlotte could put together a package that make sense, and that would be:

Hayward (probably to LAL for Westbrook + protected 1st) + Washington or future protected 1st + 13 + 15

To be fair also don't know how credible this guy is, we will find out. It's certainly interesting. Can't say that it seems the team gravitates around either player, to me it looks like Clarkson, Conley, and Ingles were the leaders of the team.

Personally, after the playoffs I think that Clarkson can provide what Mitchell can, I would trade the guy that hasn’t given any firm statements on whether he wants to stay or not, feels like Hayward all over again.

Yeah, if Gobert goes to the front office and says it's him or Mitchell, it makes things much simpler for them. Whether it's right or wrong, they'll trade him before they'll trade Mitchell.

Yeah, I imagine the most likely scenario (unless something like the Knicks getting the first pick happens) is they move Rudy, build a (probably bad) team around Don with younger players with him at the 1, and let him put up crazy numbers to drive his value up and If they feel necessary trade him next offseason.

Interestingly, most of this was foreordained when the Jazz gave Rudy the supermax. That contract has been a disaster for almost every team that has signed someone to it.
