Any interest from the Jazz? Shelvin Mack + pick for Shumpert? He brings good defense, veteran experience and can shoot the 3 decently. Gives Cavs a salary dump and legit backup point guard. Jazz improve their bench even more.

From what I've seen in preseason so far, I feel like our perimeter defense could still use an upgrade.

I wouldn't. I'm not the biggest Shumpert fan.

One of them is getting paid 10M dollars per year for the next 3 seasons. The other one is about to get cut by the Jazz...

I am not a big Mack fan although his drive to the cup is very sweet. But Shump? No thanks. He has been on the decline. Sure he could provide something...but guys...we let Chris Johnson walk and get Shump on board? Rather get rid of Mack for a second rounder. Then get cj a contract for the rest of the year. Save some money and keep chemistry going. Plus Shump is very fragile. Hampered by injuries his days being one of the best defenders are behind him. Have I said No already?

Archie Goodwin released by the Suns! Wow! That's unexpected.

I would dump Neto for Goodwin in a second if we could win a waiver claim. If I'm the sixers I would take a shot on him.

I like everything about Goodwin except that he isn't good at basketball.

I was reading somewhere that he has worse defensive numbers than Trey Burke... maybe that's why?

Still, I was surprised.

The Suns knew Goodwin wasn't ready when they drafted him. They knew he was a project, but seem to have given up on him halfway. This is an opportunity for the Jazz to benefit from the work of others, which is something that is done to the Jazz too often. Definitely worth a shot.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.
