Kennard is a much better shooter than Hayward was coming out of school. He's crafty as a passer and ball handler too. He's more comparable to Joe Ingles than Hayward, but he should be a decent rotation wing. Wingspan sucks, but he should be strong enough to defend a bit.

Based on what little I've seen of Jarret Allen, he has the tools to be a DeAndre Jordan-type big. Actually he's more engaged than DAJ was as a college player.

I have a hard time getting excited about Zach Collins as a pro. A bit slight to be a center and a bit slow to be a PF. Makes me think he'll be a bench player, but maybe I'm wrong.

Monte Morris is nice. Doesn't turnover the rock. But if you were one of almost everybody laughing at the idea of gobert being lotto worthy you might just want to go against your gut on Jeanne.

As great of a player Hayward has become, he wasn't that impressive of a prospect of himself. It was unlikely that he became as good as he did.

Pretty much this. He's like Kanter bad on defense and doesn't have the physical or athletic tools to change this around at the NBA level. My comp for him is the current version of Anthony Morrow (who can't get on the floor) but without the veteran intangibles that Morrow has right now.

Kennard will be a killer overseas player, but that's about it.

Agreed on Jeanne, he moves incredibly well. I like Semi Ojeleye quite a bit, too.

I'm a huge Mitchell fan but I would lean towards Jackson. I feel like if Jackson had gone to a different school we would be looking at him as a lottery pick. He definitely isn't a true pg but he has elite size and athleticism for the position and I think he will end up being a really good pg. For our team he would be a great fit because we don't need a pure pg and he brings a lot of things to the table that George Hill does. He would also be a nice fit with Dante whether Dante is playing the 1 or 2 spot. If he were there at 24 then I would have a hard time passing on him.

If we are going to take a flyer on a guy that is 7'2" then I would lean towards this kid. For a player his size he moves extremely well. He also seems to have a pretty good frame so I could see him putting on another 20 pounds while still keeping his mobility.

He's an interesting prospect as well. I do believe you are comparing a junior to a freshman though. Giannis was coming out of the 2nd division of Greece. I remember IM not being high on Giannis because he dribbled to high.

If Jeanne shows out next year in pro A then it's obvious and he goes high. You gotta take a gamble on high ceiling like this.

A young guy coming out of basically pro b is going to make people nervous. But you gotta scout and see if the tools and hunger is there

Another player to look at in the 2nd rd is Peter Jok. He isn't even projected to be drafted in most mock drafts but I think he could turn into a solid bench player. He has really good size for the sg spot and is a solid athlete and a good outside shooter.

He's had handlers/host family that got him to iowa. switched high schools and funnelled to iowa. Great shot, but has looked way to one dimensional until last year when he started getting his own offense.

Hamidou Diallo also declared today but won't sign with an agent. Hopefully he stays in and the end of the 1st becomes even richer.

WOW! Awesome! I hope he stays and we pick him! I'd trade both our picks to get him.

(I haven't watched a ton of him, but from the little I've watched, he looks like a high ceiling player with great athleticism, if he stays in college he's probably a lottery pick next year)

Adebayo hired an agent today, so he's in for sure.

Also, I'm surprised but glad to see Jackson commit. I wouldn't mind picking him up. Solid player who competes and hits the big shots. Great kid too.

This draft is starting to look very very strong between 20 to the mid 40's. Here are my top picks in order for us to hopefully snag between 24 and 30.

1. Frank Jackson- If he stays in this draft and is there at 24 then we better take him. Jackson is more of a combo guard than a pg which is fine for our offense. From a size, skill and athleticism standpoint he is elite for a pg and I think he will end up being a really good 3pt shooter.
2. Bam Adebayo- I think he should be a lottery pick but other people don't seem to value him as highly. I would be surprised if he isn't a solid starting center in this league.
3. OG Anunoby- Before his knee injury I think he was a definite lottery pick. We still don't have clarity on how bad his knee injury is but if healthy he can be a solid defenisive 3/4 that can hopefully continue to develop offensively.
4. Hamidou Diallo- Physically the kid is a crazy athlete with a strong frame. Based on the videos I have seen he seems to have solid form on his jumper and is a great slasher. He has a higher upside than all 3 players ahead of him on this list in my opinion but I just haven't seen enough of him to put him at the top.
5. Donovan Mitchell- From a physical perspective he reminds me a lot of Eric Gordon prior to his injury issues. Very explosive athlete with a good outside shot and brings it defensively. I don't expect him to be as good as pre injury Eric Gordon though but still a solid player.
6. Harry Giles- This is based strictly on how he looks athletically in workouts. Based on his college play he probably shouldn't even be drafted.
7. Isaiah Hartenstein- Great size for a big with solid athleticism and a decent outside shot. Their are attitude questions but his upside is high.
8. Justin Jackson- He has solid height and length for a wing but a skinny frame. He looks like a solid glue guy to me that does everything well but nothing great. I would be really surprised if he doesn't end up having a long career as a role player in this league.
9. Anzejs Pasecniks- The guy is listed at 7'2" but moves really well for a player that big and can even shoot a little from the outside. He could be a solid backup center behind Rudy and a decent starter if needed.
10.Luke Kennard- Defensively he sucks but offensively I think there is a role for him in this league. He is a great outside shooter than also create his own shot but will struggle when defenses key on him. The good thing is that in the nba he won't be more than a complementary piece.

Between 24 and 30 there should be at least 2 of those players available. There are also a few players like Leaf, Lydon Ferguson Dozier and Rabb that would be in that mix but I think they end up going earlier.

Here are the players that I would target at 42

1. Jonah Bolden- I honestly wouldn't mind going after Bolden at 30 but based on mock drafts I would hate to waste value when he might be there at 42. This is where it really sucks that we made that stupid Pleiss trade because I would be really confident that he would be around at 36. If it comes down to it we should trade up to make sure we can get him. The nice part about Bolden is that he is already over in Europe so if we don't want to bring him over this year he would probably have no issue with hanging out over there for another year or 2. That way we don't have such a minutes crunch when trying to figure out what we have in Lyles and Bolomboy.
2. Edmond Sumner- Versatile guard with great size for the pg spot. He is coming off a torn acl though so that is obviously a big concern.
3. Dillon Brooks- Mock Drafts seem to hate the kid but I really liked what I saw from him at Oregon except for the flopping. There is a toughness about him that I like though and he is pretty clutch.
4. Dwayne Bacon- Solid scoring wing with good size.
5. Kyle Kuzma- He has improved immensely over his 3 years as a ute and I still think he has room to get better. He has solid size for a stretch 4 and his passing skills have improved significantly.

Ok fun question. Outside of the two projected to go immediately name your top 3 pgs after that?

Markelle Fultz
--------------------
Dennis Smith
Frank Ntilikina
Lonzo Ball
DeAaron Fox

Ball has one of the same problems Dante has - he cannot get his shot off off the dribble. I think this will limit him in the league. I love all of them actually. Don't take this ranking as a slight to Ball or Fox. They are all top 10 for me.
