Don't you mean one of two options:
1) waive Favors; or
2) trade Dante AND Crowder (no salary in return)?

Those are the only ways I see of getting to over $33M cap space ($32.7M max for player with 7-9 yrs), which means the only realistic option is waiving Favors.

Depends on the players we're getting.

Jrue (Option 1)
Brogdon (Option 2)
Conley (Option 1)

Everyone else

Jrue is not getting moved in any scenario it seems like, but he is the dream. He's a top 20 player in my opinion.

IMO your 1st 2 options are the least likely to materialize. Does keeping Exum and the picks off-set the difference between Conley and Ross/Lamb?

Agreed on your first sentence. I'm not sure about the second question. If we have Harris, does that mean we need Conley less, or does that mean we should gun it for the ring now? I'm a believer in Lamb, but I think you have to go with Conley at this point.

From a window standpoint, I actually think these next two years will be the biggest opportunity to for the Jazz to win a championship in awhile. Durant is leaving, and all other potential superteams will be new and not as good as the Warriors have been.

Conley+Mitchell+Ingles+Harris+Gobert puts us right there with the best in the league.

Yeah, but are those "sources" Tobias' agent who is trying to make sure that his client is interested in whomever offers him a max contract (perhaps to use as leverage elsewhere)?

If you waive and stretch Korvers contract, you get really close with just one of Dante and Crowder.

Tobias will have multiple max contracts. He and his agent do not need leverage from the Jazz. Rumors or not, it's highly unlikely he signs here anyways.

I am just throwing this out there but if KD goes East then Tobias goes west and the Jazz are at the top of his list.

Conley+Mitchell+Ingles+Harris+Gobert would be so fun to watch! The bench would need some love but vet min players and a small trade or two would take care of that. You may even be able to use your pick this draft to get some extra depth and trade 2020 1st+whatever to get the Conley trade done.

Hunching hard, easier to make the all star team in the west at that point.

I don't see a big difference between Rubio and Rozier. This will be a 'move to make a move' type of....well, move.

I'd rather have Rubio than Rozier as well. I suppose that Rozier has a little more potential and a slightly better fit, but he's a backup PG who thinks he's a superstar. Maybe in a Randle situation where BOS removes his QO and lets him go.

I would much rather have Rubio than Rozier. Rozier had that nice little run to end the 17/18 season, but he was weak this entire 18/19 season. His TS% for both regular season and playoffs is lower than Ricky's. His assists per minute is way lower than Ricky's. He is a bit selfish and just isn't as good as he thinks he is. Rozier is a better three point shooter than Ricky, but that is about it.

Rozier does have a better nickname than Rubio, so there's that.

Kyrie leaving is good for us. He'll take a max spot somewhere else and Boston can't sign one to replace him. Here's the competition:

NYK (x2)
LAC (x2)
ATL
LAL
SAC
DAL
BKN
IND

Would Harris sign here over teams like BKN, ATL, and DAL? Probably not...

What's his nickname? Or Rubio's, for that matter.

If Kyrie goes to BKN, they will need to let Russell go. What do you offer him in this case?

Here's one more of the lower end FAs... Harrison Barnes... what do you offer him? If anything?

I don't know what to think of Russell except that I think Dinwiddie is the better player. If we're going to trade our first, Dinwiddie feels look like a good target. He's got the triple threat of PnR, Iso, and spot up that we need. As for Russell, I guess I'd be willing to pay him whatever's left. In the most likely scenario (Favors back, Rubio out, Korver stretched), that's ~$20M as a starting offer. 4/$80 M sounds about right honestly.

Barnes has piqued my interest lately. I have always thought he sucked...but he kinda does some things we need. He can iso and knock down shots. Still think he's not a great player, but if everything else is off the board, I wouldn't be too bothered to give him the rest on a 2 year deal (2/$40M).

I think Lamb is better than Barnes though, so I'd just do the same offer to him. How about you?
