Sad to hear. And yes, the professional world isn't for everyone. Think about it like it's the NBA: being a professional means showing up and putting in the work even when you don't feel like it. As a new guy, you probably have to work twice as hard because it is very common to let the new guys go first when a company is considering layoffs. Hope things will work out well for everyone.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

I will report to a new boss now, and I feel like a coach on the hot seat when a new GM comes in. They tell you everything is going to be fine, but it just feels uneasy when the person who hired you is no longer there.

It really does suck...and I’m one of the more fortunate. Not everyone here is as lucky as I am.

If any of you like Scotch, Glenmorangie Nectar D’Or is amazing.

I heard about it. Didn't taste it.
Judging out of its name.. sounds both delicious and expensive.

I wasn't sure where to post this. I'll try it here:

Gratitude.
I'm abled to receive it, but I cannot answer it. There's no "reply" option.
The only thing I'm allowed to do with your PM is to report it.

Should I?

Add-edit: Forget about it. I checked again and now I get the "reply" button. I'll try to send a PM to you.

Just finished watching Altered Carbon the other day. It is visually stunning, though the story, while there are some nice touches, could and should have been better.

Watched the first three episodes of the new Lost In Space series. Wow, does it suck. After the first episode I was already annoyed or disliked all of the characters, or just really didn't care about them at all. By the end of third episode, I flat out hated almost all of them and hoped they'd all die (no such luck). The writing is just awful and almost everything that happens in that show makes zero sense and required monumental amounts of suspension of belief, the resolution to almost every situation is just nonsensical, dumb an unrealistic. So many plot holes in just three episodes. Not the actors' fault, it's just bad writing all around. It does look nice visually, though.

The teaser trailer of The Predator was just released. So disappointing :nonono:

Of all the locations on the planet, the Predator will wreak havoc in....the suburbs

Yes, you heard it right--the Predator will fight little kids and soccer moms, apparently.

Don't go see A Quiet Place then, it was disappointing IMO.

Yeah, all that hype has got me very suspicious. Need a real ball-to-the-wall horror movie.

It needed another hour to really work in the plot, reminded me of I am Legend in some senses but not as good.

I Am Legend the book or the movie? Because the movie was so terrible that it made me not bother reading the book, which is considered to be a classic. I can't put into words how awful the movie was.

The movie, I really disliked AQP's plot, it just had so many holes.
