Boozer got out worked because he is to slow to guard Odom...thats not his fault, his dumbass coach shouldnt have put him on Odom on in the first place.

I swear to god not one of you will call out AK for being a complete and under puss almost this entire year(2008). Sure Hornacek taught him how to shoot..whoopty doo.

the hell are you talking about? everyone knows AK hasn't been AK all damn year. it's no secret

As pissed as I am about this loss, I agree. Some of our fellow Jazz fans need to work on being a little more classy. I don't think there is another team's fans who would boo Fisher

I'm not so sure about that. I'm not many of the leagues fans would boo a key player who left to sign with a division rival, though alot of the fans out there tonight were just being jackasses.

I have to agree, AK has played terrible defense this season.

I know Boozer plays crap defense too, but at least he goes out and gets 20/10 like he did tonight.

AK has been getting 8/4/3, and has been getting burned on defense. He favors his shot blocking ability like he is Bill Russell only to get burned time after time by his man.

If he is going to constantly play off his man to help his teammates, at least have something to show for it, quit rotating late to show up for the poster and then run down the court like nothing happened.

How many times did you see AK simply duck out of the way tonight to avoid fouling someone, it was seriously embarrassing to see from our "best defender."

Guy has been playing like crap lately, step up or step out. As far as I am concerned he has a lot to prove before the end of the season to keep his place on this team, otherwise move him out and bring up Almond.

Let Brewer start at SG, Korver start at SF, and then let Miles, Harpring and Almond playing the reserve minutes behind those guys because at least they bring effort, AK tends to take nights off more then anyone on this team.

So we stand out, whats bad about that? Kobe acting like a douche stands out, so he gets noticed so why not us? I dont care if ppl think we are classless, passion runs high here. The throwing had to do with the jazz lsoing and the jazz not getting any of the calls. I was pissed to, im not going to throw something on the court, ill just chuck my remote at the wall.

I mentioned Boozer and Okur, you say Kirilenko.

We both agree there is a problem, but we blame two different groups.

You expect Kirilenko to defend something. I say that Kirilenko is multitasking so much, that he can't defend his own player, or be late for other players.

I say it is Boozer and Okur at fault for doing what fundamentally they should be doing, specially Boozer. But you say that Kirilenko leaves his guys so open that Boozer and Okur can't stop the penetration.

We both agree that defense is poorly.

It sucks to lose man, we should have had this one in the pocket.

Kobe was fired up. I know Utah hates LA, but it seemed like something else was going on out there. That was an intense Kobe and an intense regular season game.

LOL I'm not used to all this quality/intense ball. Outside of Boston, Philly and maybe Detriot no one in the East is playing like that right now.

I do agree with that above post. The only teams that can stop Utah are the Lakers and maybe the Spurs. I actually would be more worried about the Lakers than Spurs though if I were Utah.

Kobe gets fired up in Utah because early in his career he came into the Delta Center, and with the Lakers down by just a few points late in the game he airballed like 4 consecutive three pointers and really blew the game for them.

Then in another incident the Jazz have a fake phone call with a Karl Malone sound-alike during his year in LA. During the fake phone call played over the PA, Karl said something... "it's terrible being injured, but it could be worse, I could be Ko..." and the phone cut out and it was obviously referring to Kobe sticking it in that Denver girl.

I think we should get Miles in the rotation, and he can take Korver's man or whoever is the better offensive player.

Matt Harpring was a silent fart once again tonight.

Here is the problem Duiz...he is not doing any of the "multi tasking" that you speak of. He is not rotating and is just sitting there watching players dunk on us. Our frontcourt is absolutly pathetic on defense, but AK is not the one that is caught doing to much...he isnt doing sh^+. I agree with you 100%, you just need to realize that AK is just as bad if not worse(because of his potential) then Booz and Memo on D.

I actually agree with you for once.

The Jazz have a relatively easy stretch coming up, see if Miles can be given 10-15 minutes a night to come in and provide a spark before the playoffs.

If he can that will help the Jazz switch up their rotation a bit to surprise teams in the playoffs, if not go back to the old rotation and hope for the best.

 Yeah I remember that skit -

I was thinking Kobe hated us because of the airball thing, but the skit makes even more sense.

I just wish we had more players who would come back hard at him. I think D-will showed glimpses of doing it tonight. But everyone else seems so soft and emotionless, especially Boozer and Kirilenko. I remember when AK would swat him 3 times per game. (Guess it's kind of hard if he's not even guarding him, though)

The thing that annoys me most is that no one on this team will get upset about Kobe spiking the ball and calling all of us mother ****ers. Im sure they are all going out to get sh^+ faced because they dont have a game till Saturday.

Kobe is a douchebag, but I respect him for taking this game personal and having that fire and passion he had tonight. It would be nice to actually get some players that take games personal and let it be known publicly.

What bothers me about the beer in the court, is that Deron could have trotted back, stepped in a water spot, and bust an ankle.

Booing, I don't see it as classless. Charles Barkley even made the point earlier in the show. All of the sudden Derek Fisher asks to be released for his daughter, and not even a month away, a week away, he signs with out arch-enemies.

Seattle has world class medical facilities. Boozer's Carmani was in Miami. Also New York has some of the best doctors ever. Cleveland also has excellent treatment hospitals.

You know why Kobe has a grudge against UTA right? ( the PA -pre-game, Malone skit) and follow that up with him getting booed, his boy getting booed ( Fisher) and the chants that say ' Kobe Sucks '

I am not here to change your opinion of Kobe and I dont really care if you or any other person likes him.

But you have to look at the situation and see why he was taking it personal.

I mean wouldnt you? or any other competitior in that situation feel the need to take it personal? Its human nature and if you are saying you wouldnt take it personal, you would be lying. Kobe or Lakers or Jazz or any athlete.

Hate Kobe all you want.. but understand that he is human and just like the rest of us, we would take things personal if 1 or all of the things that the Jazz mangement ( PA skit) or what the fans continue to say to him.

We are both fans, we both love our team, and we both agree on the symptoms. We disagree on the causes, and I like that our dialogue actually includes some thoughtful arguments. I respect that.

Please, let's not be like SteveBozell who comes here only when we lose to say that we are the worst team in the NBA and complain about everything.

Now I agree, our frontcourt is pathetic, mostly because they are out of synch when they are defending, and Boozer or Okur ends up screening Kirilenko or themselves when playing man to man. They are all collectively out of sync.

I agree too that Kirilenko is a mediocre man-to-man defender.

On zone defense, Kirilenko becomes the big time defensive center, who is supposed to block the shots by the guys that penetrate the inside. Or at least that is what we expect. In reality, the whole concept of the zone defense is to shrink the paint into asphixia, but what it ends up happening is wide open layups.

How you stop a penetration is through slowing down your man, and then whoever is coming from the sides then can go ahead and take a swipe. What we saw tonight is full on penetration that were gonna be dunks. Kirilenko keeps getting the blame, but like earlier in 05-07 Bryant would get the 3 point play. Collins is the only smart guy to actually steps to the take the charge.

I think that Boozer needs to learn how to take a charge, or to challenge the shots. Our perimeter players need to stop being Chris Paul, and go for the steal, all what they need to do is to stay in front of their man, and slow down their penetration.

Bryant takes it personal against Jazz since Jazz swept Shaq & Kobe Lakers some years ago. That's Ok.
Anyway, I don't like Bryant, even if he's the best basketball player in the whole world.
Ultimately I prefer Jazz pussy millionaires... at least they do not hide when they force sex with their own fans... like tonight.
Ok. ok... not classy at all.. I'll let my anger rest now...

I think he got over it when that duo won 3 rings...anyway.

He also might be pissed at the booing of him and Fish, the 'Kobe Sucks" , or the skit that was done about him a few years ago in the pre-game.

:dontknow:

Or it could have been that sweep, some years ago..
