A reminder to everyone the future was mortgaged with the Conley trade, that's why so many hated it.

Yep, nothing happened. No trade or anything. The Jazz later signed a bunch of undrafted players to 10-day exhibition contracts. Alas, draft night was a dud.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

Random observations: There is only one player in the top ten draftees who is shorter than 6'5" - Jaden Ivey at 6'4", and there are only three players in the entire first round who are shorter than 6'5". All three are 6'4". Seems like nobody is rushing to replicate the Jazz' tiny starting backcourt that is comprised of two 6'1" players. Length matters.

Kofi Cockburn moves really well and has a really high energy level for a man that size. Good hands and catch radius. Runs the floor pretty well. Has good balance and timing on this post moves. He changes directions and slides pretty well defensively. Athletically, he seems comparable to Andre Drummond, though he's a touch taller and not quite as long. Clearly he's a beast. Not sure why a team wouldn't draft him, tbh. If your 5-man isn't going to space the floor, he may as well dominate the paint.

One thing I like about Cockburn is that he can make plays on the move without having to stop and gather himself like Udoka. He's more fluid.

This guy makes me wonder if anyone has ever literally died on a screen before...

This guy is intriguing if the Jazz deal Gobert..... Not much of a shotblocker, but seems to have a nice touch.......

I like this undrafted guy more than both Dok and Bradley. (edit: While he is not going to be relied upon to shoot, in one clip he did hit at least one 15 footer and a 3pt shot. Can Dok do that? I doubt it).

The question will be what his defense looks like when he's put on an island and how well he can defend in screen/roll actions. Remember, this is what did Tony Bradley in. Udoka hasn't been as bad at it, so maybe Kofi can get by as well.

I wonder how long it will take for the 2023 Draft Prospects string to be started, haha. There will certainly be a lot of interest in the draftees and the Jazz' picks next year.
