Absolutely not. This is a massive overpayment for Murray. I'd lead an armed revolt if it happens.

This goes with my assumed offseason.

You should use the offseason to improve your infiltration skills. It was your responsibility to make sure Luka and the Mavs will have a terrible season and somehow they are in the finals. Now the only Lukas we can get are Samanic or Garza.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

Dump Collins into space with a pick
Renounce FAs
Offer OG 32-35/year for 4 years
Trade for Murray
R&E Lauri at slight team discount
Re-sign Dunn

Murray-George-OG-Lauri-Kessler

Playoff team and has enough picks for one more potential move next offseason

Playoff team, possibly.

They still would be worse than OKC, Dallas, Denver, Minnesota.
It would be a toss up with NOP, Memphis with heathy Morant, Phoenix, Sacramento.
In two years Houston and San Antonio pass them.
Also, LAL, LAC, Golden State could make another run and push this team out.

This would be a terrible future for the Jazz.

I don't think anyone available keeps us out of the play-in at best, so I don't think I like any of these potential deals. Not that I hate any of these particularly, but it just goes against what I want the Jazz to do.

Giving up 2 or more of the FRP's we've acquired for Dejounte Murray or even worse Zach Lavine would be very limiting for the long term future of the Jazz.

Add Trae to that list as well

IMHO no team with Kessler as the starting center is making playoffs unless there are 2 AllStar+ players with him all the time.
