Saw this floating around on twitter today:

Jazz are listed as one of the teams interested in Hamidou Diallo.

Edit: as a side note, I believe the deadline for players to withdraw is tomorrow night (Wednesday, the 24th)

Call me biased but if the Jazz draft Frank Jackson and Kuzma, I can see them both fitting in extremely well as starts for our team.

Whatever we do with the picks...I sure hope we don't use one on a player that has zero opportunity to make the team like last year.

I'd be totally ok with this.

Ok.... Blockbuster Proposal... I know it's insane. Any benefits?

NYK OUT
Noah
8th Pick
Kuzminskas

Utah Out
Burks
Diaw
30th (face saver for Phil)

The rational I'm reaching for is the Jazz allocate Jingle's money to Noah. Noah would be asked to be a back up center. If he can stay healthy he might actually help the Jazz in a limited role. If he can't maybe through insurance they can get him off the books the last year or two.

Kuzminskas is brought in as a cheap role player to try and replace some of what Jingles brought.

The Jazz should still have space/mle to bring in a PG and more help (probably two rotation guys in total).

Can we get Melo instead and send out another pick?
Ingles is cooked.

Who are you targetting at 8? I don't think NYK does that. They can probably ditch Noah for less... or at least not for their best pick.

Bam seems to be seriously emphasizing his perimeter game in his pre-draft workouts. I think this is a mistake. He might fall IMO.

I'd just target bpa. Not sure exactly who outside of Brooklyn that would deal for noah. The knicks gotta compensate.

I feel as though Dennis Smith gets criminally underrated, i have him right there in talent with Ball and Fultz. If the Jazz got Dennis Smith at 8 with that trade i would be ecstatic!

I have him above Ball. His ceiling might be the second highest in this draft after Fultz...

WOW! Interesting! He's also mocked to the Jazz in DXs mock draft.

To go off of this type of idea. The Jazz are not going to be in a position to get a high draft pick in a long time. I wonder( not sure on the rules) if the Jazz could do something wild like trade for a Noah(or another high priced contract) and then waive the player and eat the cash. I'm not sure if you waive a player if his contract will count against the cap if he is fully waived and paid??

Basically could the Jazz eat 20-40 million in a bad contract to get a really high pick. I realize this has not been done, but the Jazz have been frugal and I wonder if they would consider it.

Deng, Mozgov, Noah, etc. All targets if something like this is possible.

Noah, 8th pick, Melo, and a future pick

For Favs, Burks, Boris, 24this year, 2nd this year.

If the Jazz waive Noah then this isn't bad going forward.

Really interesting to see that guarantee from the Jazz for Wilson at 30. There's a good chance he's not there, but still... I don't remember the last I heard the Jazz giving a guy a guarantee for a pick.

I wouldn't be surprised if DL did this to throw the scent off of another player. He has a reputation now for grabbing good players in late first round. GM's might be willing to take a gamble if they think he is going to grab them.

I'm guessing he is Favor's replacement as either Favors won't be healthy enough to retain or too good to be able to afford by this time next year. Kid appears to have a good balance of being able to shoot from distance and play in the paint, which probably means he'd be Lyles replacement too.
