All fans get frustrated with their team's players.

I walked through several pages of posts from Knicks fans about acquiring DM. I think about 1/2 the fans were hoping they could unload RJ Barrett as part of the trade for DM.

So many Jazz fans are hoping Ainge can get RJ Barrett and other Jazz fans say there is no way the Knicks would be willing to trade him as part of the deal to acquire DM.

I could see Giddey on the market, would explain why Giddey got so much SL minutes, for exposure.
OKC also picked up Dieng who is a lesser version of Giddey in some respects.

He could be the basis of a trade for Mitchell but no chance on Chet being involved.

We aren't trading Giddey...more likely we trade Shai. Presti basically speaks about Giddey in every interview and if u look at most OKC moves/drafts, you can pretty clearly see that Presti is building a team around Giddey rather than around Shai.

Yeah, RJ Barrett is a bit of a gamble. I haven't watched much of him, but his advanced stats are horrible, yet it sounds like from what I have read that he might be on the verge of turning the corner and being a really good two way player. The unfortunate part is that he has been tendered his QO and will either get an extension (probably somewhere between $85M-$110M over 4 years) or become a RFA next summer. Who knows what he could command at that time and if he'll get his feelings hurt by not getting an extension this fall.

Do you think Bogey and a FRP is enough to get John Collins? Assuming we either keep DM (yeah, I know that is a long shot) or collect a core of young players capable of playing now (appears feasible from the rumors), would you do it?

If we trade Mitchell? No. Need to just bottom out and try to get the first pick for Vic.

Gives you some solid players to build around and some future picks. You take on Fournier but they take on Gay.

With 2 young players in Barrett, Reddish, Grimes that can all be good rotational players I would be willing to take less draft capital. 2 FRP and move 2 of the others to swaps so we possibly could move up in the drafts.

The Knicks are not getting off that easy. More picks... IMO you go for the kill and get as many picks as you possibly can and as further away in time as possible. You have the Rudy Gobert benchmark. You don't accept anything less... 4-5 picks, multiple swaps... This is Ainge we are talking about.

I think if they include Barrett in the trade then less picks would be needed as you would have a pretty good piece to build around.

So what? Give him a max.. he'll literally be the only player on the roster making 8 figures. Salary floor exists also

Thankfully you don't have a say in front office maneuvers. As POBO, I do

Other teams lined up and I'd bet offers will be pretty good so why trade Mitchell for bunch of G league players? Front office isn't giving DM away. This is were Jazz hang up the phone and say goodbye.

You want Jazz to take all your back contracts? Randal and Evan for Mitchell? How many picks are you offering?

Quite funny if DM lands on the Knicks, Danny sends Gobert to a team with serious promise and DM to the Knicks LOLs.
Ingles is cooked.

It’s going to be funny when Danny takes 80% of your assets.

With Knicks playing games I'd trade Mitchell to the nets before a team breaking NBA rules on tampering. Take Ben S and couple first round picks and let Ben set out next year and land Victor with our number one pick. Knicks will never win squat. Poor leadership.

Out of curiosity, what makes you think RJ Barrett is worth two picks? Sure, he has good size and was the 3rd pick in his draft, but he has been really bad, other than an inefficient scorer, his first three years. Is there potential for upside, sure, but at a cost of picks and probably $25M/yr?

Yeah... the moment they tell me Barrett is worth like... 2-3 unprotecteds to them, I tell them - cool... take him off the deal and add the 2-3 unprotected to the deal. Then keep adding...

BTW the "RJ Barrett is untouchable" thing is hilarious to me. Yes, he's so untouchable the Knicks and Barrett are not close to agreeing to terms on an extension. In other words - he's so awesome and untouchable they won't even offer him the max or anything close to the max. This is all posturing.

The knicks will be horrible too with Brunson & Donovan therefore their own picks would be worth more. The heat picks won't be worth much as they'll be good for a long time
