For next year The Jazz need to Let Fesenko, Korver and Boozer Walk. Trade Kirlinkos salary and injuries to New Jersey! Make a combo trade of Price & Koufus for a decent young big man. That Leaves Williams, Okur, Milsap, and maybe Miles back. Re-sign Mathews, Gaines and Jeffers. We have a #1 and a player from the Koufus/Price trade. We may or may no get a player from New Jersey

We need a real defensive center who can shoot short shots. We need a real Swing player who can play offense and defense.

Last night, Williams, Milsap, Mathews sometimes MIles, a hurt Okur, Gaines and Jeffers played like they cared about what the night meant. Fes, Price, Kufous, and Korver were in another city all ready. And of course, Kirlinko and Boozer were on the Bench. Nuff said. we keep real athletic players and re-make this team around them.

Here's something I learned about the Jazz last night. They will be playing a game on April 17th, in the playoffs, against the Nuggets.

I'm going to be sounding like a broken record for the next little while...

What we're lacking isn't length and athleticism, contrary to popular belief. We're lacking leadership and the kind of role players that we can count on to bring the same thing every night, rather than riding the tumultuous storm of mental inconsistency and constant injury.

Let's say you have the choice of buying a fancy schmancy expensive car or a slightly older, not so pretty one. Here's the catch - the nice car only turns on 50% of the time you turn the key. The other car, however, gets you where you need to go every day. Which one would you take?

The FO needs to pick a couple of players on this team and SPECIFICALLY build around their skillsets; find consistent role players that form a complete team. We will never make it with this makeshift team of capricious former all-stars who present serious chemistry issues.

Marcus Camby is missing from this year's team!!!!!!!!!!!!! We could have gotten him by retaining Harpring a little longer and throwing them the pick acquired from Memphis in the Brewer trade with Kosta and Harpring. We would then have a shot of doing something.

As for next year and beyond??? Our only hope is to get lucky in the lottery in a few weeks and get number one pick and draft a leader by the name of John Wall.

So your missing piece goes from an old shot blocking center to a rookie point guard?

Shoulda, woulda, coulda. focus on the playoffs and support the team.

I think you can focus on the playoffs while at the same time think about offseason.
I will certainly enjoy the postseason ride, no matter whet...
However, I really think Millsap, Price and Kirilenko (if there's any taker out there) should be traded this offseason.
- Williams desperately needs a real backup (one that can actually run plays)
- Jazz need to develop Fesenko; dude just need playing time and some confidence
- Millsap's not the answer a contender need; he's not a starter nor a very good backup (IMHO Bass or Maxxiel would have been better for the Jazz)
- Kirilenko's contract's killing any flexibility... by the time his contract expires Williams will have only one sure season left with the Jazz....
- I think Boozer, Okur, Matthews, Gaines, Korver are keepers...

I think this is all a moot point right now, because the offseason will be dictated by how the jazz do in the playoffs. If Fez, for some reason, shuts down the paint all series long against the nuggets, I would say there is a good chance he's coming back. Regular season is one thing, but a good performance in the playoffs can really determine if a play will be pursued or traded
