Alright Fes and Doufos

Time to wake the **** up and start playing like professional athletes. With Memo almost assuredly out for the rest of the postseason we are basically gonna rely on these two to man the C position for long stretches while Millsap or Boozer sit.
God help us.

As much as I wish this message could change how they play, I know it won't. Plus, center play was NOT our problem tonight. We have absolutely no answer to Melo. AK is the only thing we have. We need to get a wing with some length. Hell, we need ANYONE with some length...

How about someone who can create their own shot

That WAS CJ, until he got into foul trouble. Some of those fouls that got pinned on him were funny. Screwed us over because he was playing really well.

- How can we expect Fesenko's game to be ready if he didn't have playing time in regular season?
- Koufos is not ready; probably won't be for a while after spending last summer killing his body...
- Jazz invested in Millsap; they thought Millsap could be a difference maker, not Fesenko... now's the time to see if their choice was right or not (we already know the answer methinks... )

I hate to be "that guy", but there were some real BS calls. Makes me sick how much Denver fans whine and complain about the Jazz getting home court treatment...they get homecourt treatment AND whiny superstar treatment.

Refs were fine, besides it wasn't the refs who helped JR rain 3's on us and Carmelo was just on fire.

Maybe if Fes wasn't "sick" for half the season he would have seen consistent PT, Sloan even said it in an interview that he never knew when Fes was gonna be playing or not because of his issues.

Honestly, **** Fes. I am so sick and tired of this immature waste of talent. Any person that bitches about him not getting PT is clueless. Minutes aren't handed, they're earned. Here is his quote from today : "it is a challenge because this is my last year I become a restricted free agent so"
Bye Bye Fes. Cole Aldrich or Greg Monroe will fill in nicely for you.

Inmaturity? Yes that's true. Sickness? Yes, it happened to him.
But Fesenko wasn't sick two or three times the Jazz needed him and he responded well on court... and in all those oportunities he wasn't rewarded and didn't see a minute of action after... that's true too.
I can name a good number of players that had countless opportunities in a Jazz uni even when they made mistake after mistake after mistake.... but Fesenko has never been granted even minor mistakes for the most part... that's true too.
I love Sloan; he's a huge part of my Jazz fan feelings. But either Jazz management has something to do with the minutes some players are granted, or it was a mistake not to play the big dude a little bit more.
No one is saying we would have had the West best record or anything like that, but Fes could have been more of a difference maker for the Jazz than Millsap would ever be.
Of course, just my clueless, inmature opinion!

Fes has unlimited potential and could be the answer we need at the 5. But I have to agree with some of you in that he hasn't made the most out of his opportunities. A few times he's gone out and really produced...but I'm thinking it's off-court issues that are the problem. We all know the Jazz are very good at keeping certain things confidential; I don't think it's far-fetched to say that Fes has some real issues and he's only keeping himself back...it's not Sloan.
But at the end of the day we can all agree that we don't really know anything. We can speculate all we want, and that's what this forum is for. But nobody should act like they know all the details behind every player's personal situations. I just hope things work out for the team.

This doesn't have to be about talent or being ready. Whoever steps in for Okur must bring a TON of heart, just like Wesley Matthews.

I think people here are posting exclusively about Fesenko's basketball related things. Off court issues? Not my issues. Arenas has off court issues, JRSmith had off court issues, Bryant had off court issies... but Fesenko? If he has they have to be minor enough to not get public...
About missing opporunities, in Fes case coaching staff response has always been the same, no matter if he played well or not... one mistake and done... one good performance and done anyway... it's so curious that you have to wonder if there's some kind of management politics into it...
Not a thing to go thru right now... Jazz cannot win this series anyway... they lack the same things they've been lacking for several years...
