I'm not proclaiming Thank God. I'm giving a subtle nod of approval.

Well, I think we've all wanted to see what Fes could do with starters minutes. He'll be under the microscope tonight.

He has the size strength to just power down some big dunks down low. I want to see him very aggressive going to the hole, even if it may cost him a few offensive fouls.

This is his chance to pull an Ostertag and show enough talent to keep himself around a half-dozen more years...

If he doesn't get into foul trouble early on he'll be okay. I'm looking forward to seeing some of those monster jams on Nene tonight.

Anything but scared Kosta. Fess is a good player and he helps the Jazz D. The lack of a 3 pointer shooter (Memo) requires that Dwill, Matthews, Miles, and Korver shoot well. Boozer will be double teamed all night, thus Fess needs to dive to the basket when that happens and get dunks and most importantly make his free throws when fouled.

Well, his agent should be psyched/terrified. If anything this is his big chance to prove to the Jazz and other teams that he is an NBA player. Ostertag made a nice sum by being clutch during the playoffs, maybe fes can follow suit.

I have a good feeling about Fes starting tonight, I have no reason why, just a feeling.
The Jazz are due for a bit of good luck.

With Fes's size, I want to see blocks and rebounds. I think the others can bring the scoring aspect, a few putbacks would be great and definately possible. But mainly I want blocks and rebounds.

Fes played well tonight! His presence alone is enough. The other little things were just a bonus.

I wasn't impressed with him. I think you guys are getting a lil too excited about Fes.

He did well for what we needed. The Jazz did what they needed, that was score through Deron and Booz, and have role players step up big, which were Sap and CJ. Korver was good in crunch time too. Fes was just a big body to distract the Nuggets, and it worked great!

He didn't hurt the Jazz at all, and I am not sure what more you can ask for. He played solid defense, intimidated the Nuggets down low, and when he got the ball on offense he either dunked it or handed it off.

He did make two mistakes with the ball in his hand but for a guy starting his first playoff game with how little NBA experience he has, I'll gladly take it.

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you want to see a good game out of him you can. I guess I just was viewing him with a critical eye. And by that eye, he was not good. Wasn't terrible. Some pretty bad turnovers. Some sloppy fouls. Very poor rebounding. Not much shot blocking. On the plus side his defense was good, and he took the ball strong to the hoop when he got it, not opting for a finess shot off the glass like he was prone to do early in his career.

Overall I wasn't impressed.

More fouls and TO's (7) than Pts and rebounds (6). It seemed like he did a lot better than that though. He's got to learn to stop swiping blindly at the ball when his man beats him. Like it's been said before, I think he just needs more solid PT.

I love how this team plays with a traditional center down low. Everything seems to be a bit more smooth. Cole Aldrich is looking pretty awesome to me right now. Dwill/Booze/Aldrich is a solid core to build around. Mattews is one of those above average role players that are critical to a playoff team, as is Millsap.

i liked fes's presence last night..he threw his huge body around and let denver know that theyre gonna have to fight for the paint..ill take the foul trouble from him for some phsyical play especially with a guy like sap on the bench.

Fouls aren't always a bad thing.

I thought the analysis by the TNT guys was pretty interesting last night. They said that when Okur plays, Boozer essentially plays the 5 as the opposing team puts their center on him and since Okur spends him time out by the 3pts line teams play their 4 on him. With a "traditional" big man in Fes at the 5, Boozer can move to his natural slot at the 4.
