OT: RealGM's best food of SLC - Best Burger

Post#1 » by jazzfan1971 » Thu Apr 22, 2010 8:22 pm

Now taking nominations for best burger in SLC.

I nominate Apollo Burger's Bacon Cheese Burger.

Who you got?

I know it's not in SLC, but JCW's blue bacon cheese burger kills me every time. The pastrami is also amazing.

Hmm. As a local foodie I am not big on our local selection of Burgers. B&D Burgers by the U and on State in Midvale is good.

But the new out of state chains, In-N-Out and Smash Burger do more for me.

Oh wait. My official nomination is the Garlic Burger at Cotton Bottom.

Followed closely by the Garlic Burger at Trails. 8-)

Not in SLC proper, but Burger Bar's Double Ben with Cheese is pretty terrific.

Smash Burger has some good ones.

I really like 5 Guys. I get it with bacon, onion, green pepper, and A1 sauce.

I live next to the In-n-Out in Draper. Theirs is good.

Salt Lake Burger (I think that is the name) in Sandy at Quarry Bend as a good burger. It is Fuddruckers style but nice and the ground their own meat. You can get bacon ground into it.

It really depends on the mood. I appreciate a good burger and there are defenitely good places to go, if you know what you are doing.

I've onlly had 2 garlic burgers. Busy Bee and Port-O-Call. The Port one gave me Garlic breath for like 3 days. It was horrific. Not too excited to eat another garlic burger.

Come to think of it I haven't been to Trails since it was Golden either. I hope they didn't get lame and start trying to serve steak and fried shrimp.

I think I'll try the Garlic burger at cotton Bottom for lunch. See if it can beat out Apollo burger or not.
