OT: RealGM's best food of SLC - Best Spaghetti

Post#1 » by jazzfan1971 » Fri Apr 23, 2010 6:18 pm

Oddly enough I'm going with the Spicy marinara and meatballs at Noodles and Co. It's not even an Italian joint, but, I love that spaghetti there. The meatballs are only ok, but, then I've never had one better. I have to think they exist though. Biggest complaint - No garlic bread.

Who you got?

Moochie's Meatballs

Honestly though, I wouldn't get too excited about a place even if it had the best spaghetti in New York. Heavy tomato sauces aren't my thing.

Man, I used to live walking distance from there. Never knew they served food.

I have never found a good spaghetti dinner in Utah that tastes better than my own spaghetti bolognese. I love to cook italian food and i've not yet found a restaurant that seasons their sauce how I like it. I guess I'm just too picky. Now I did eat at this place in Rome one time that ... well... its just too good to describe.

I dont like too much of the other stuff on the menu but you do like the Linguine Frutti di Mare plate from Buca di peppo.

No one mentioned the Old Spaghetti Factory. It's a chain, but it's cheap and good. People overlook the place because it's been around so long, it's unspectacular, and has much better options within footsteps. But for spaghetti, something I am not a fan of to begin with.....
