A pretty wide open catagory. I'll let you call your own fouls on what qualifies as a sandwich.

I like the Mexican Dip at the Pub. (Trolly Square) It comes with either fresh fruit or pasta salad. Both are excellent, but, as I get older I opt for the fruit. It used ot be called Mexican dip on the menu, but, due to them shoving their PCness down our throats it's now called a spicy beef dip. I always order the Mexican dip anyway.

Honorable mention: Best 5.00 sandwhich goes to Blimpy. I like their club on the jalapeno chedder bread. It's about big enough to feed two. And actually tastes good unlike some other 5.00 subs out there.

I know this isn't in the SLC area but Sensuous Sandwich on Center Street in Provo is delicious. Whenever I go there I get their Spicy Enticer served cold. I'd say that's probably the best sandwich I've ever had before.

Tony Caputo's and it's not even close!

Gross. I got a sub from sensuos sandwich and the bread was soggy, i could hardley down that thing. i'm sick just thinking about it.

Tony Caputos and is isn't even close by a mile

I get the Proscuitto or the Caputo. They aren't cheap, but they aren't overpriced.

+1, they are pretty good.

My favorite though, is at Village Baker in West Jordan. For some reason, their ham and cheddar sandwich is soooooo good to me. Their white bread is phenomenal.

As chains go, I'm a Quiznos guy.

+1, although sometimes i do get random cravings for it. mostly no.

best sandwich i can think of right now it the Italian Place's Philly and everything. That sandwich is gold.

Just found out Sam's dad Frank started the biz. Consider myself conciliatory. Shopping at Granatos and Caputos is a joy. I can't buy much, but it's like going to the zoo for a foodie.

Not in Salt Lake, but in Logan are the best sandwiches I've ever had. If you find yourself in Logan you MUST stop at the True Aggie Cafe. It's on about 100 North and Main Street. So unbelievably delicious.

I really can't stress enough how good these sandwiches are. The world needs to know!!!

Never been there, but I am a huge fan of the mini guinea at the factory in Logan.

Gotta agree with those that said Caputo's. Their muffaletta kicks all kinds of ass.

My #2 is probably Cucina's in the avenues. I lived off that place for a good semester when I lived up there.

Honorable mention: The Robin's Nest. Definitely the place to go for a sandwich downtown.
