The last stand.

I think one of those pics should be from the original german version of the film (which i've seen, haven't seen the American version -- I heard it was a pretty faithful remake, and this isn't the type of movie I'd really want to revisit).

Lets see if Sloan can make adjustments requiring the Jazz to run more. AK-47 should start and Fess to bench.
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

Yeah, let's start a guy who hasn't played in a month and a half. AK will probably only be able to play 20-25 mins, so those minutes should be chosen wisely.

I wouldn't be against starting Doufus tho, he's shown me a lot more than Fes lately.

By the way does anyone else think that's a really weird game thread? How many of us have seen that movie or even know what the hell that's supposed to be referring to? I like the mortal kombat thread a lot better, or something with bikini girls or hell even just pictures of the actual players.

We've played better in LA this series than in the past, but we are still in big trouble.

We cannot get defensive rebounds. If we could, we would have won both games.

We need to run on this team and force them to play an uptempo style. They need to get more shots up in transition that will allow us to rebound before their bigs have established position. Otherwise we are dead meat, home or away....

Some random notes:

- Williams' sub par performance was the key factor to lose game 2; it was one of those games, it happens... he didn't run the team properly... he made a certain amount of really lazy plays...

- Coaching staff know they need some offensive production from one of the big fellas (Koufos/Fesenko) if they want to win the series; that's why Wililams run several plays involving Fesenko right off the bat (he did it with Koufos too later in the game); that's a key factor because Boozer need a little bit more room to operate around Bynom/Gasol's length and freakish wingsspan. Sadly enough Fes/Koufos didn't respond well to the challenge (in part is not they fault... they have barely played during the season and now we suddenly want them to attack Gasol/Bynum/Odom... people seems to easily forget they unexpectedly contributed to the win in the Nuggets series)

- Refs are doing his job, the local flavor is just unavoidable... they're the fraeking Lakers after all; Jazzmen should have learned it from the Nuggets series: no matter what, whistles tend to favor the more assertive team and to go against the more tentative team. Besides, even if Bryant certainly get some calls (for instance the notorious butt offensive foul on Miles that amazingly was whistled against CJ and was a key play down the stretch, remember?) he must be the less respected superstar in league history (he has never received the calls Durant already get... he's never got the benefit of using his arms/elbows to disrupt people "a la Carmelo"...)

- Millsap... well... I have to say I'm watchin an unexpected performance from him... I'm really impressed (even considering the Lakers kind of let him ride a little bit...)

- Matthews... this kid can be really huge... he certainly made some errors, but his overall impact has been impressive...

- Boozer... don't be hard on him... he's playing huge dudes out there... he needs help in the form of an effective big body forcing Lakers frontcourt a little bit... in game 2 Lakers were much more focused on him that in any other Jazz player...

I'm liking how CJ Miles is playing. Attacking and passing really well. And he's shooting 92% from the line, so he's going to eventually get hot with his jumper from the field right?

If nothing else, these playoffs have been a coming out party for CJ Miles. He hasn't been perfect, but he's playing some of the best ball of his career right now.

And that makes Andrei way more expendable if we want to keep Boozer. Salary dump baby.

The game thread means we are going to beat the life out of the Lakers, though it would have been more appropriate for a game in LA, since they beat the life out of them in their own house. Whatever, I want to see some Laker blood...

Why is there such a layoff in a series against Utah? When you played Denver, the layoff between games 2 and 3 was also a long wait.
