Noah, Iggy, Amare, Marion, Dirk, McGrady in the last 13 drafts? Not bad. Pierce went #10 in 1998. This is a deep draft, we could early get a talented player. I'm just happy we didn't slip between 10-12.

Like I said a long time ago, I believe that Cole Aldrich will be the pick if he is there at nine. Either way certainly a great investment that paid off for you guys.
Jazz: Under reconstruction, we'll be back.

There are some very good names there. I like our chances landing an above average starter in the league type guy.

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...

I'm sorta intrigued by Udoh. A good shot blocker with passing skills. I hear his offense needs more polish, but I'd love to see a shot blocking presence in the paint.

I'll take it, obviously higher would have been nice, but I think that group of 9 players is solid.

The one guy I have questions about is Ed Davis, I am not sure if he's shown enough to warrant a top 9 pick, but hopefully somebody snatches him up before 9 so we get whoever else is there.

As of now though I am very comfortable with this list of players.

Wall
Turner
Cousins
Favors
Aminu
Johnson
Monroe
Aldrich

Any of those guys joining the Jazz is a very good thing!

I'm right with you, Bat. I'd be happy with any of those guys, but Davis scares me. I really hope someone picks him, so one of those 8 guys become a Jazz player next season. If the Jazz have their eyes on anyone specific, we could always trade up. I wouldn't mind giving up the Grizzlies pick to go a few spots up in the draft.

I have to agree with Nate Udoh does seem intriguing although my dream pick is Turner but no way in hell that is happening. I think the Jazz will probably just stand pat at 9 and see which big falls in their Lap. I myself think Udoh would be a great fit or possibly Monroe as well.

Davis and Cousins are the two with the highest bust potential in this years top 10, I dearly hope the Jazz steer well clear of those two. Whiteside is another high bust player which I hope they don't fall in love with.

The 9th spot is an awesome place to be for the Jazz, especially in this years draft. Assuming we don't move up I think the list of players we should target should go like this....

Aldrich
Udoh
Monroe
Patterson

Aldrich, Udoh and Monroe will solve our size problem and each one of them has plenty of upside/potential. Patterson would be the back-up plan in case all three of those guys go off the board before the Jazz pick. He would be a great insurance plan if Boozer leaves; a Patterson/Millsap combo would be killer. Regardless of what happens, the Jazz are locked to get someone who can really help the team.
