Salt Lakes annual Living Traditions is tomorrow through Sunday. They always have like 20 different booths from all the ethnic organizations in town from Scottish Haggis to Cambodian and Sudanese. It's always really a good time. There's also a lot of music and a beer jail..I mean garden. The music and stuff is free, the food is always a good enough price you can try a few things.

my mouth is watering reading about this. the site has big letters saying free admission but...
The vendors re-invest the sales proceeds in the year-round cultural programming of their respective community groups.

what sales if it is free admission? does that mean you have to buy the meals? are they meals or samples? how can someone eat from all 20 cultures in a day like i want to do?

The event which is also arts and music is free. Food and drink costs money, but it's not a lot. At each food booth you will get a paper plate worth of food. Most of them will sell a snack sized food too. This is a big fundraiser for those community groups.

I did an injun dance at this one year. My uncle used to sell katsina dolls there too.
