Jazz-Sixer trade????

Sixers want to dump Brand's contract badly even if it costs them the 2nd pick. Here is a trade the sixers would do but the Jazz only do if they like Evan Turner alot and think he is the next Brandon Roy.
Brand/Dalambert/2nd pick for AK-47/Millsap/9th pick
Boozer would have to leave for money reasons.
PG WIlliams Price Gaines
SG Turner Matthews Korver
C Dalambert Memo Kosta Fess
PF Brand Memo Kosta
SF Miles Korver 2nd round pick
Much better defensive team!!! Gambling alot of Brand re-gaining form in the SLoan system and hoping DWILL helps him get back. No Millsap on bench hurts thus scoring on bench could be issue.

Are we trying to make the Jazz better or trying to turn them into the Sixers?

I might be willing to take a risk on Brand, especially if it comes with the second pick. After checking his salary... I may not want to. I would make sure to do a really indepth physical. I really depends on if you think he will come back or not.
It appears Dalembert is due more money ($2.5'ish) than Okur but is a year shorter. Okur most likely won't get back to his level. He is a outside shooter. Dally provides at least some defense. Not a ton but somewhat of a presence.
In this scenario we also get to keep the #9th pick. We can get another big man.

Honestly this one is tough. Brand is a monsterous gamble, but Turner is gonna be an all-star. Really tough one. I say go for it. Might just be the sort of gamble that pays off huge!

Let's see, we would lose 2 of the most exciting players to watch on this team for a PF that has never been the same since his injury and a crybaby. I'm not sure Turner is worth the gamble.

Lot of guys changing addresses. Might look better to swap team names instead.

I highly doubt the Sixers would bail us out of the last year of Memo's deal at the start of a sigificantly cheaper CBA, give us the #2, AND not get our pick in return. But what a move that would be for the Jazz moving forward.
I'd be content with the more realistic and more balanced AK + #9 for Brand + #2 and then S&T for Gortat with Boozer somehow. Involve a team under the cap to take Bass or whatever to allow salary matching and so the Jazz don't eat a bunch of logjam salary (and maybe get Orlando's SIGNED pick in the process? It might have to be that way to have any hope that the salaries match. If it was Pondexter I would be stoked beyond Stoked.)

The suggestion was AK47, Millsap and the ninth pick in the 2010 NBA draft for Brand, Dalembert and the 2nd pick in the draft. It doesn't matter that Philly would have to be crazy to do that ... Jazz fans figure it's not a good enough deal. Simply amazing. And what in the world is Korver doing on the resulting Jazz roster???

So... I think when I first read this and made my comment I didn't notice the #2 pick there. Obviously that's the key part of the trade. So yeah. My bad.

+1
I just posted nearly the exact same thing in the "2 trades this summer" thread.
