i hate the lakers. great game though, cudda been better. i hate the lakers.

Me too, can't stand the stupid Fakers. They are good in closeout games, let's see what happens.

A small part of me just feels like the Jazz just lost at the buzzer because of the excitement of that Richardson three.

Why don't teams box out in the last minute of Laker playoff games?

Two tip ins at the buzzer that have kept Lakers in the playoffs...They make it when it counts.

I want the Lakers to win it all. A ring will change Nash and VCs legacies. 2 rings is bigger for KGs legacy than just another one for Kobe and Phil. It promotes the status quo and makes not having a ring not as huge a deal.

I completely understand Deaneys logic. It still too hard for me to hope the lakers win it tho...

I don't care for either team. I just hope the east wins in the finals(but Boston hurt themselves by not winning game 4)

I had Orlando winning the series from the start, I got them winning in 7 still. Making history baby.

Phoenix needed a lot of luck to even tie that game. On their last possession they missed two consecutive threes that just happened to bounce long; then finally J-Rich BANKED in a three. That's more lucky than Artest out-hustling the rest of the Suns for that put-back.

I dislike the Lakers as much as the next guy, but I think luck has very little to do with their success. Really good teams rely on luck for their wins much less frequently than other teams.

Youre joking me right? What other team in the NBA has had more luck than the Lakers? Everything from trades to draft picks to game winning shots the get lucky with.

Artest was what? 1 for 10 when he made that GW shot? Off of a Kobe airball? Luckiest game winner in NBA playoff history hands down.

Phoenix deserved to win the game, they fought back and out played the Lakers down the stretch. The entire Laker nation and organization knows that they were extremely lucky to win that game.

Good teams will win championships but the Lakers are the luckiest good team in history.

And for the J-Rich bank three....how many open threes didn't go in for them before that? They outworked LA and somehow had two perfect looking shots rim out so I don't buy the luck argument for that one bit. The Suns are one of the unluckiest teams in the NBA if you look back at their history...

i once compared the suns and the jazz to a friend and suns fan. he tried to say how phoenix has had it worse off over the years than the jazz. turns out, wikipedia backed me up....they are virtually identical franchises considering their overall team statistics over the last 40 years. as far as appearances, championships, records, and overall awards are concerned.

Artest came over from the weak side to get that rebound. Hardly unlucky.

The media is even saying that the Lakers are the luckiest team in the NBA. It's not even worth debating, if you can't see how lucky they have been over all of these years then you are completely blind.

just off the top of my head. im sure there are more.

Fish for a family emergency; Bynum was a good decision, Artest was a good move, letting Ariza walk is a good move. They get the benefit of luck and good decisions and big market perks above that.
