The jazz trade 9 pick for Randolph plus Goldern States second round pick. Minnesota is also shopping Kevin Love. The Jazz trade the 9 pick for Love and 23 pick. What do you think.

Don't see why Minn would do that, Love is a beast, they ain't getting no one better than him at #9.

Yeah - I would do Love and the # 23 for the #9. I'd throw in Koufos or Memphis's #1 as well..

I'll take Randolph ANY day of the week. I've always liked him and wanted him to play in Utah.

I think Minnesota is looking to add experience rather than another rookie. Love would be a great addition the Jazz. I don't see them making that trade though.

Minny's fans complain a lot about Love's defense. Although I believe he could thrive playing for the Jazz, I'm not sure he's what we need. We'd still get abused on the inside often. We need a defensive presence.
I'm not sure the Ws are ready to give up on Randolph until they can see what he can do if healthy for a full season. He does seem like a guy who'd be on Sloan's doghouse more often than we'd like.

Kevin Love is better than anything we are going to get at the 9 pick it seems. David Kahn is not a Kevin Love fan. If they are going to trade him straight up for Anthony Randolph, I think they would for the #9 pick.

I think that's laughable. The ninth pick isn't even close to the value of Love or Randolph, we'd likely have to throw in someone else that we didn't want to, or some future picks.

Agreed. There's been a lot of talk on the Trade Board since the Randolph-to-MIN rumors arose, and while AR has great upside, most believe Love is worth more than either Randolph or the #6 pick. I don't think Love + 23 for 9 would fly.

I will say though that I won't be surprised if Love is traded, and our insider said today that "If Jefferson and Love are on the roster at the end of the summer, most people will be very surprised." Here's a MIN take:

Both are great offensively, and both are elite rebounders. Jefferson has averaged 11 RPG each of the three season before last year (4th-7th in NBA each year), and Love has led all qualified NBA players in RB/MIN in both of his seasons. However, the wolves struggle when both are on the floor together defensively. This is why Darko helps a lot, but why one Jefferson or Love will be dealt. I think teams still have concerns over Jefferson's knee, because his salary is so high. However, he worked hard to come back months early, he missed zero games due to injury last year, and his numbers got better each month .. until his grandmother died. Anyway, Jefferson's trade value will almost certainly be higher at next year's trade deadline, when he's over 2 years away from the injury. Love however, is worth more right now in trade, and I think Kahn is anxious to move one. Love questioned coming off the bench during the season (I don't blame him), and that may factor in, though he and Rambis are buddies now, and attended the Lakers/Celtics game together a few days ago. Kahn has said anybody can be traded. I personally prefer that its Love.
