WHAT: Jazz to unveil new team colors and logo variations for the first time
WHO: General public and members of the Salt Lake media are invited to attend
WHEN: Tuesday, June 15, 2010 9:45 a.m. MT
WHERE: EnergySolutions Arena ticket lobby
DETAILS: Jazz fans and local media are invited to attend the public unveiling of the team’s new colors and logo variations inside the EnergySolutions Arena ticket lobby. In addition, merchandise featuring the new Jazz color scheme will be available for purchase at the Fanzz location inside the ticket lobby immediately following the announcement.

The phrase logo variation kind of scares me. Im almost certain that it will be the revamped note logo, but why not just say new logo?

My guess is it will be a little more modern looking than people are expecting. I don't see the Jazz going back to the exact same old note logo with just new colors. Maybe I'm wrong but I would expect the Jazz do add a little extra.

I think the official logo is going to just be recolored (the 1996 logo). It seems like I read somewhere that the NBA wouldn't let them change their primary logo for whatever dumb reason. Luckily, NBA teams are allowed to have a secondary logo (the "J" note) which I think the Jazz are going to be using A LOT more than their primary (CO Rockies ripoff) logo. Hopefully the Unis aren't to busy. I want a classic clean Jazz J note jersey with the gold and green trim.

No. One, our color scheme is the same as Memphis, Dallas and Denver. Two, our jerseys currently are the worst in the NBA IMO.

Which is exactly why we should go back to the mountains.

I'm thinking it may be possible that they combine the old jazz note and the current mountain on top of a basketball logo.

Something like this maybe. Not sure how I'd feel about it.

if you take away the sky in the mtnnote logo it doesnt look awful. Interesting concept but it'll probbaly just be the old note with updated colors. and we dont have the worst uniforms at least when we were our baby blues which i will no doubt miss. Really looking forward to tuesday. not only the unveiling of the logo and uniforms but also the new gaslight anthem album comes out.

Did you not sport a avatar with meatwad in powder blue jersey for a year or two? Its the only jersey the jazz had that actually had some originality. And does this hatred for the powder blues perhaps stem from a chargers or tarheels or similar hate?

I did indeed have an avatar with the powder blues, only because someone made it for me. I would have had him in the old white uni. Also, I don't give two craps about the chargers or tar heels, I just think it's an ugly color for a sports team. I'm not sure why you are calling my opinion into question. Is this really that big of a deal?

someone? that hurts it was me, but no i wasnt trying to call you out. Just wondering if you hated it for some other reason i think the jersey is the best we have had since the black and copper.

I think the away uniforms could look really sweet with the new color scheme. In a year or two we will bring back the green alternates, obviously a new version of that retro.
