It;s obvious what jazz should do!!

Post#1 » by Montanajazz » Fri Jun 18, 2010 9:34 pm

Pick the best/Tallest big man in the draft at #9 or trade up for one.
Trade Boozer or Milsap for another big/tall forward/center.
re-sign Mathews.
Find another big center free agent and,
another defensive Guard/forward free agent or in the above trade, if Korver isn't coming back.

Use Miles, Price, and Kufous in the trades to help get the above!

Yes, the Jazz will be over in money, But

The lakers are still to tall for the jazz. They have got to change up front!

You are assuming the Jazz management wants to spend the money to beat the Lakers. They proved last year that they would rather save money then take a huge risk to try and win it all. The Lakers took a risk on Gasol's huge contract and it paid off. The Jazz dont take those type of risks. They will simply let Boozer and Korver go for nothing and hope they get lucky in the draft.

You are full of it HT.

Where are all these big guys you are going to trade for and sign? Yeah, it sounds obvious and prefect but it isn't realistic.

No, what they obviously need to do is win a championship. They need to trade/draft/sign the best players who are going to get them there. They need a PG, a SG, a SF, a PF, a C, some solid bench players, a hall of fame coach, an arena, some fans, probably some lawyers and legal reps, an upgraded nacho cheese machine outside of the FF section, and LeBron... I don't see why this is so hard.

Also, I agree with hoop4life. HT... you are full of it. You think Brewer and Maynor would've gotten us past the Lakers?! They traded pieces for more valuable pieces. It's smart business. They were still one of the top spenders this year. So what exactly is your point? And where is your info to support it? Again, just aimless ramblings for the sake of rambling.

I guess some people forgot how the Jazz matched the offer sheet the Blazers gave Paul Millsap last summer. ;)

Yup.

In retrospect was Brewer that great? Our offensive and defensive outputs increased without him. I wonder how a player who relies so heavily on screens and cuts + a great point guard, like Brewer, will do in a system like Memphis'. I bet he keeps up the SPG, but not much else.

And the Maynor thing is sort of frustrating, but we would have lost him in a couple of years anyway, and he'd never really get more than 11 minutes a game behind Deron.

I agree that the Jazz FO could do more, but don't agree that they do nothing.

I wan to lock Montana Jazz, Holy Toledo, and New Jazzy Nets in a room together. Just to see what they could come up with and to see how loud they'd yell.
