Sure. Our assets are the Memphis pick, future Jazz pick, rights to Ante Tomic and cash. Better question is do the Jazz want to do it? I personally think a move for another pick will only be done if someone slides (Aldrich, Babbitt, Henry, Patterson, maybe even an Avery Bradley). Or maybe in the 20's where they could get a nice piece like a Whiteside, James Anderson, Jones from S. Florida.

If Patterson or Aldrich is there. I think Patterson could be the sleeper in the draft. Looking at his contributions his Sophmore year and being overshadowed in his Jr. by Wall, and Cousins... if that were not the case we could be talking about him in the top 7 or so.

He could be a nice get at 18.

Article clearly says they're "selling" the pick. Meaning they do not want the roughly 1.5 mil salary that comes with it. Frankly, the 18th pick can't demand much if any of a salary dump.

I think the Jazz could also toss them a small trade exception too (Maynor).

Considering the exceptions are use it or lose it I wouldn't be upset if they used a big one.

Fingers crossed the Jazz can land this! Would help any chance of moving up. Or just taking the BPA at 18 could still yield someone useful. I wouldn't be surprised if the latter pick actually turned out to be better than the first. Seems to be a theme with Jazz drafts.

I'd be all for using the Harpring TPE to get this pick. To be honest, I never thought we'd use the Harpring TPE but this seems like the perfect situation.

Maybe I am totally reading this wrong, but I think Miami is just trying to avoid the roughly 1.3 mil owed to the 18th pick. The only players contracts I see the Jazz taking on is Beasley or Cook, but don't think they want Beasley, nor is Miami ready to give him up. If we just take on Cook's salary for a season to get 18 that would be fine.
