Rumored trade in Philly: Thad Young for the 9

What do you guys think about that? Before Eddie Jordan wasted his talents last year he looked like he was on his way to stardom. Still just 21 years old he allready has 3 years in the league. As a Sixer fan I hope this isn't going to happen and I hope you haven't heard it.

I really like Thad, but I'm not sure that we really need a small forward - a shooting guard or center would fill a bigger hole on our roster.

That's a horrible trade for the Jazz. Beyond horrible.

Thadeus Young avg. 15.3 points and 5.1 reb and shot .495% from the floor as a 20 year old in the NBA....Good luck finding that with the 9th pick in this years draft. He still has a ton of upside. He was rated ahead of Durant coming out of high school (he isn't as good) and only played one year of college. If he was in this draft he would be rated way ahead of Wes Johnson.

He's a worse prospect than Al-Farouq Aminu and only has one year left on his deals compared to four which Aminu would have.

Why do people on realgm drastically undervalue everyone on the Sixers? Young is clearly worth a #9 pick in this draft.

Most draft sites and scouts list AF Aminu's worst case scenario as Thaddeus Young.

This would be a tempting deal for Utah. The best prospects at 9 are Davis, Babbitt, George, and MAYBE Aminu. Young would contribute more over the next 2 years than anyone we draft at 9. It'd be tempting. I think it depends on who is on the board when the Jazz pick.

Where does it say worst case Thadeus Young? It says he could play a role like Thadeus role. Teams have been complaining about Aminu's motor something that is never a concern for Thad. Plus he won't be there at 9 anyway so this is a mute point.

It says "Worst case: Thaddeus Young" in the top right corner of his profile.

Where is this rumor coming from? no link? I'll be pissed if I traveled all the way up to Vegas to watch the draft and the Jazz trade the pick

Young is decent player, but he is an undersized PF. It seems he plays more effectively inside but has decent range. His immediate impact would probably be better than anybody picked art 9, but IMO we would still have problems matching up with the bigger teams due to his size.

He isn't Marion but his game is simular in that he is a hybrid 4 but he can play the 3

Hahahaha that's actually pretty funny. But I'd still be tempted, depending who is on the board.
