Sounds like Miami is trying to give away Beasley for a trade exception so they have more money to spend. If Boozer walks, Millsap moves to the starting lineup and Beasley comes in as the backup?

Or maybe they use the trade exception on a center if one becomes available. I'm just thinking out loud because if all the Jazz end up doing from last season to this season is add Hayward--even if they manage to keep Boozer--I wouldn't consider the Jazz better than last year because of Okur's injury and recovering.

I would take Beasley for the trade exception, but doesn't he project more as a 3? If so the Hayward pick kind of stops that idea.

Also he is a flyer right now and I think only the right coach is going to get him to live to his potential. He has said the game isn't fun anymore so he is going to need a coach that can make the game fun while still being motivating. Jerry Sloan figures if you can't motivate yourself you don't belong here.

But I'd do it. The Jazz need to find some bigs wherever they can. The only center on our roster at the moment is Koufas... Koufas could be our starting center.... Koufas. I think it would be a mistake to not at least make a run at Beasley, especially if the Heat are just giving him away. That said, the Jazz won't do a a thing.

Beasley is worthless. If Rose were the 2nd pick in the draft that year the Heat would be in the Conference Finals. Beasley in Utah? No thanks.

My take is that Beasley is a tweener. He plays smaller than Millsap. He's a perimeter-oriented forward who is too slow to guard opposing SFs and is too small to guard opposing fours. He'd work better on a team that has a big presence inside.

Beasily will NOT agree to come off the bench period. If the Jazz get Beasily which I am ok with then Miles moves to SG and Beasily becomes our SF. Utah would be good for him because he would be out of the lime light and the Jazz are a system team. He would be similiar to Donyell Marshall who was a high draft pick that had little success until he was traded to Utah.

maybe a 3rd or 4th team can get involved and send us something better and beasley can go somewhere else. He's got issues..
