I was appalled the moment I saw the wiretap. They got Roy hugging minutes at the 2 spot and Batum, Babbit and Fernandez to share the other wing minutes. Just wow.

When Brandon Roy and Rudy Fernandez just aren't enough, time to fk with the Jazz.

If they go after Wesley like they did Sap, I hope Oden breaks his other knee taking more naked pictures in his bathroom and breaks Roys arm with his wang when he falls over. Screw Portland.

Jazz FO needs to stop submitting to these stupid games Portland plays. They don't really need Matthews, just trying to screw us. They should come out and say they won't match offers for blank amount of cash to scare these pricks out of effing around anymore.

It's not like the Jazz were the team that screwed them with Darius Miles. That was Memphis. Quit taking your anger out on the Jazz.

Kevin O'Connor must email Paul Allen pictures of Deron Williams after every game, that is the only reason I can imagine why the Blazers would be so focused on screwing over the Jazz.

You can't blame them. If it was the other way around you'd be laughing. Take the homer goggles off.

they better be careful (Blazers) they might overbid and get stuck with the bill. Much like a Raja Bell situation with the suns.

Wow guys...really? Hate? Nice.
The big thing this offseason is trading Rudy away and getting better defensively while adding shooters, which is something Mathews is good at (both of them). The likelyhood that Utah would let him go to a division rival is pretty small anyways, so why are you getting all up in arms? Ridiculous

Mathews has said that he is willing to give the Jazz first billing because he wants to reward the people that took a chance on him. So honestly if Mathews indeed signs with Portland knowing the Jazz present situation then I'd have to say part of the blame goes to Mathews. Hopefully the Jazz offer him a contract that may be a little low this year but makes up for it next year.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves, Portland couldn't possibly try to screw us 2 years in a row

Portland is really doing its best to make Jazz fans have more of a reason to hate them more than the Nuggets. They are simply out to make the Jazz hurt.

Exactly, its not like its their job as devision rivals to beat the jazz.....or is it? Relax. Instead be happy for Mathews, a guy that was undrafted, that his hard work will be paid off, by someone (hopefully the jazz)

You've clearly never loved someone before

You can be happy losing games and players. I won't.

If you are the Jazz you stick to your guns. You pick your number, you offer the contract and you offer it soon. And then you tell Matthews to take it or leave it. Tell him hey: $4M per year for 4 years, take it or leave it. If you sign somewhere else fine, go sit the bench behind an all star if you go to Portland, or start here.
Tell him if he doesn't take the offer you are moving on to Morrow, Reddick, Outlaw and others.
I love Matthews, but there are two things every franchise must avoid: and that is paying a guy the max that doesn't deserve it or paying a guy the full MLE that doesnt' deserve it. AK killed us from doing other things because he didn't live up to his contract. Marko Jaric, Jason Maxiel, Brian Cardinal etc.
Any team using their full MLE this year will roo it when the next CBA comes along.
$4M is the max for Matthews and I would front load it this year with bonuses so that his salary cap number is around $3 or less for future years.
Be smart KOC. He is not a game changer, he is a nice piece.
