Hayward and Koufos aggressive out of the gate.

Hayward is a great ball handler. I am not impressed with Koufos despite his aggressiveness. His jump-hook is nice and so is his jump-shot but his hands are just terrible - which is odd considering that that was one of his greatest strengths in college.
I expected a bit more from Harris, he is a terrible shooter, but he is a very tough, nba level defender. Without being a threat on offense though he won't go far.

I just want to say that I hate what the Jazz are doing in summer league. They have too many players and are not even playing there own players. It is ridiculous. Hayward should be playing the entire game, as should Koufos.

I am a little disappointed by how little Hayward has been playing too

I am thinking you will see more of the Jazz players the last 2-3 games of the tourney. No need to burn them out at the beginning. Hayward is still trying to learn the system.

ps2 and xbox in the Orlando Arena.. lol these announcers..
Anyway maybe they're trying to protect Hayward for some reason or maybe the Jazz are focusing on the second squad to evaluate?

They try to reward the other guys for joining their team. This is their big moment to shine. It matters little if Hayward shines in summer league or not.
But, you can expect more minutes by game #4.

Good point. Giving people an honest chance will encourage agents to send their players to us.

Sunny D doesn't seem to play inside his head as much as he did during the regular season.

Yeah, I was really looking forward to watching Hayward play for the Jazz since I'm from Indy and am a huge Butler fan. But from what I've seen it seems that a lot of his summer league teammates are a lot more interested in just chucking the ball at the hoop. He's out there running around trying to get open and the others are just throwing up bricks.

I wouldn't worry about that too much, he looks great (Hayward) and KOC and Sloan both value team play I think over individual play. He's being very patient which is a good sign and I think he's gonna be really good in the Jazz system.

Hayward looked torn between staying on Ewing and stopping the penetration on that play - and he really didn't do either.

There, a clutch shot from Hayward - nice to see.

Good win, Hayward played well. Augustine wasn't as good as last game but he was still decent. Koufos had a good showing but his hands are just terrible.

and a nice win...
Kosta played a little better with some blocks and rebounding, still fumbling the ball a little bit on the other end of the court and not shooting well. I still kinda like Augustine better.. Evans had a crazy couple of blocks. What's his name..robinson? Not a bad player either. Jeffers wasn't really..there or made much of an impact, but he played well on "D". Gaines ran the offense well, made some bad passes but did drive to the basket well. Hayward played well, very patient.

Gaines had 6 turnovers against sub-par competition - that's not running the offense well (he looked OK in the 1st half).
