Sign and trade options

Since Boozer is going to Chicago, mabey they would sign and trade Brad Miller to us. He is better than Okur, and given the minutes he probably would be as good as Millsap but with some height.
And he is white enough for Utah.

Why does Chicago do it? I'm not saying they won't, but you need to give a reason.

Bulls fan here...
It isn't our choice...Miller would have to want to go to Utah.

Miller is half the player Okur is - well, prior to the injury. It remains to be seen what Memo can do now.

But the Bulls would also have to agree to it. Right now the Bulls have what they want. What possible incentive do they have to help out either Utah or Brad Miller?

But even if we do a sign and trade with Boozer for the trade exception it would be helpful. This costs the Bulls nothing, but gains them nothing either. We then can use the exception to go after a difference maker from a team looking to unload salary within the next year. Buys us some time to get a good player, and would be big enough to grab almost anyone especially when the trade line comes up and teams are looking to dump salary for nothing.

Sure, but I've yet to see anyone explain why the Bulls would do it. Out of the goodness of their hearts?

Basically, the Jazz management has said that. They want to get at least a trade eception for him. Boozer and his agent have indicated a willingness previosuly that if he left, they want to help out the Jazz in a sign and trade.
Maybe we can get a David Lee in a S & T where we give Memo or Wes Matthews to the Knicks

I think the exception would be wonderful. And it doesn't hurt Chicago to do it so if Boozer says he wants it to work it out that way then it will happen. then we would have basically a $16Mil gift card that we could spend on players teams are willing to just give up for salary dumps.

It would help Chicago to give a TPE if they want to load the contract towards the end. This may be a good thing for them considering CBA changes coming.

Some of the TV and radio guys have been talking about either Deng or Gibson coming back to us in a S&T. I would love to see us get Gibson in return a trade exception would be ok I guess. Either way, the Jazz need to get something, even if it is just small in return.

Chicago only sends players back if they need to create more cap space for another signing. But I believe they have enough space to sign another max player still. So I don't see this happening.

Another Bulls fan here
Miller is an unrestricted free agent. He could be signed outright. There is a rumor that the Celtics will try to sign him because Rasheed is retiring.
The Bulls are trying to trade Deng and they are looking for SG and/or a center. There has been a rumor that the Bulls are trying acquire Okur. The Bulls don't have much to give up other than Deng and lottery picks, but they do have a future first round pick from the Bobcats which might be worth something because they are not a playoff team. The Bulls might be willing to trade Taj Gibson if they can get Okur.
Any interest in Deng + lottery picks for Okur?

The Bulls apparently are interested in re-signing & keeping Brad Miller. plus Miller, who lives in Indiana, prefers playing close to home
Miller is just not a priority until after the LeEgo show tomorrow

Because Boozer's camp ask for it to ink the contract?

I would really love to see the Jazz get some young guys back ala James Johnson, but if we can't I'd take the TPE knowing that it would make using the Harpring TPE a lot easier this off season.

The announcement that the Knicks/Suns just turned Amare into a S&T gives me hope that the Jazz can do the same, but I'm not holding my breath.
