If the Bulls do, you would be complaining to much to ever hear it.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

Best shooter in the NBA, abysmal defender, horrible BBIQ, no athletic ability, great hustle, limited ball handling skills, poor passer.

He's a good, useful guy. He can shoot from outside and he can hit his free throws; nothing special on defence but he does try. He's hardly a big-time game-changer, but he has his strengths and you can go to him down the stretch. Just don't expect too much more than that.

And in an offseason where just about everyone is getting huge raises, you got him for about the same amount he'd been playing for. Pretty good.

Obviously he's a tremendous shooter. Watching him shoot before games is like basketball porn; he drains shot after shot with perfect form.

I think he has a pretty good BBIQ, and he hustles on defense, but the guy cannot create his own shot to save his life. So while he's very good at getting off a shot quickly and his tall enough to shoot over on-rushing defenders, if you can close out on him and crowd him he's not a threat at all.

Edit: He should be fantastic on the Bulls roster. I think he's just what they needed.

Shooting Specialist... loved his FT%, D, he hustled but just isn't super quick. I think he'll be very good for the Bulls. Wonder if they'll S&T with him too? That wouldn't suck to get another TPE. With Rose running the point and penetrating, collapsing the D, Korver may be able to be like he was with Philly when he was with Iverson and just sat back draining 3's. Good guy, great community member... Sucks to lose him, but he's not worth that much money to the Jazz.

Ditto...

I would add that he isn't a great dribbler or pass.

He can shot the lights out from the 3 and free throw line. He hustles on d but that doesn't make up for the lack of talent on that end.

I'm waiting for the Jazz fans to complain that the Knicks are trying to screw the Jazz by signing two of their players.

haha, the Knicks... thanks for playing.

The Bulls actually want them and sign them. That isn't a problem. The problem is that the Blazers are just trying to run up the price. Anyway that is a different subject for a different time.

I am not surprised that it is only roughly $5mil a year. I am fine with him leaving.

Chances of a Brewer return to Utah just improved.

Yes and no. Korver and Brewer are different skill sets. Did anybody really think that Korver was going to come back?

I have no idea if they are going to sign brewer or not. I don't really care either way too.

I am not so sure that Wes is going to get the full MLE. Don't they have the lower exception or something like that?

Korver doesn't have a bad BBIQ. He's not John Stockton but he's not a dummy. He's a great shooter, good hustle guy, great bench player, and a fan favorite.

He doesn't dribble the ball, he's not a great defender (not awful,) isn't a great athlete, but won't lose a game for you. He's also a good shot blocker for his size.

Good luck!
