jazz need a 3 point shooter

The Jazz stoled Jefferson from the T-wolves but still lack a 3 point shooter . Who can they go after. Henry with the 9 pick would of been great pick with Mathews leaving. McCants might be a option for league minimum or maybe Jarvis Haynes.

Here's an idea--- Jaycee Carroll. He looked good for the Knicks summer team and shot lights out in Spain last year.

I wouldn't call it a steal yet... depends on what Minnesota does with the TPE. Word is they are going to hold it until the trade deadline and send it to a team in cap trouble for a upper level type player, but I will belive it when I see it.
That being said, yes, with Al commanding double teams, it would be great to have 2 or 3 good perimeter players surrounding him. Okur is a great fit offensively. Korver would have been nice to hold on to.
Minnesota is sort of overloaded on the wings does Ellington or our Brewer do anything for you. Ellington hit something like 47% from three the second half of the season.

Rasual Butler hasnt signed with any team yet, correct? He would be a great fit.
Jarvis Hayes, Keith Bogans, Chris Quinn and Roger Mason could be also cheap vet options.
Dark horse candidate: Adam Morrison

No Morrison is not a candidate.

I watched alot of clippers ganes last and i was very impressed by Rasual Butler. He was very professional, showed up to play every game, and triad his best to win the game. Good shooter and good defender. He is very under-rated!!! He is limited in that he is basically a SF only though. With Miles, Jefferson, Miles, and DWILL each taking a good share fo the shots. It might be a good idea to get someone like Butler and start him bringing AK_47 off the bench to give the Jazz a strong bench in Ak-47, Memo, etc. Im a huge AK-47 fan and wouldnt mind him coming off the bench so long as he get 35 pus min per game!!!

Jazz have Hayward and Okur and CJ can potentially shoot considering how good he is from the line.

Getting someone like butler may depend on how the Jazz feel about Hayward being ready. I think they probably bring Hayward around slowly such as 10 min per game. Sloan will play rookies if they produce like he did with matthews!!!

If I were the Jazz I wouldn't even bother with a SF. They need a SG.
And since they're already going in the LTax, and because I'm a greedy fan... I think they should match on Matthews. It'll be one year of pain, but after AK's contract comes off the books, Wes's contract will be just right.

I have a feeling Rasual Butler may be a target of the Jazz. Maybe Jaycee Caroll as well - but I think that Butler is exactly what we need.

To paraphrase Jerry Sloan: the Jazz need a 3 point
maker.

There is a COMPLETELY unsubstantiated rumor ( a caller to I believe one of your local shows) that claims Portland will trade Rudy to Utah for Koufus and a pick. In return, Utah will also agree to decline the match of Mathews.
The salaries match up, but that is likely the only truth to the matter.

I can't see Utah giving up a pick and a young 7-footer in that deal.

Especially when it is know that Rudy wants out of PDX and they are heavily shopping him.

I tend to agree. I think Portland would gladly just take the pick. Or if they are trading Pryzbilla in another trade, then just Koufus.

I dont know about Kosta! He started the summer league terribly then made strides late in the league. He is extremely soft!! He has skills which makes me want to keep him. He is improving but very slowly. If it takes adding him to get Rudy, i do it. I then re-sign Fess.

Fes>Kosta (if we have to choose between one)
but yeah rudy..it's not a bad idea at all really... he has a team option after this year so if he doesn't work out he walks. He can shoot but we've been spoiled by Korver so of course he won't shoot as well as him. My concern is his defense...how good is it?
*his contract is actually pretty good..

I'd do a Rudy-Koufos swap. I think that'd be really good for the Jazz actually.

I would do that too, provided the pick sent is a second rounder if it's there at all. Big for small, the small guy has to be a better player anyways.

lol, I have Jefferson and Rudy on a keeper fantasy league. So, thatd be cool for both of them to land here.
I'd take most of them here though as the talent there is a little more concentrated than the NBA.
One of them that I'd be interested in making a play for is Azubuike. I think he reminds of Harpring, and would fit in here well. I think he's fast enough to play sg. Not sure what his natural position is.
