Big Al Lands in Utah

Post#1 » by seejaydeja » Thu Jul 15, 2010 1:59 pm

For those that don't know, Al Jefferson came into SLC last night....Here's a brief audio interview with AL as well as Greg Miller

From what I've heard, he'll be introduced officially to the media at 1pm today.

...Best part of the interview

Greg Miller: "We're probably not gonna win a championship this year"

That's the spirit! Seriously, though, I think that's a good sign. If he's willing to go this far into the tax when he doesn't think this team could win it all this season, I imagine he'll be willing to do what it takes to acquire a high-cost missing piece down the road.

Greg also said it was "kinda fun" landing AJ. Hopefully he really enjoys spending money.

I'd be a little more worried if KOC said that.

Dude was sweating bullets in the airport. I imagine his conditioning is going to be pretty intense. He has to get into better shape.

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they

Just becasue he is sweating it doesn't mean he's in terrible shape. I got a friend who is in great shape and he sweats like an unthawing bottle of water.

It was kind of a hot day today. I was sweating like a pig today at the U walking from one building to another. I am not in NBA game shape but I am not slouch, either.

The concerns over sweating....cmon guys...really? That is what you are looking at?

He sounded great, he is going to be great here and the fans will love him. I can't wait to see what he does on this team.

Al Jefferson:

The first thing he(Deron Williams) said to me is I'mma make you an all-star, thats what he said to me and I like to drop the phone.

P.S. I like how AL calls Deron "D Williams" cuz he probably doesn't know how to say Deron, haha.
