OT: Paul asking out of NO?

http://basketball.realgm.com/src_wireta ... ic_lakers/"He wants out," the source told Ken Berger of CBS Sports. "He wants to play with another superstar. He wants to follow LeBron's model of teaming up with other great players."
What does this mean for Deron and the Jazz? Both teams have surrounded their star PG's with good front court players, NO brought in a couple of wings like Peja, Mo Pete and Posey to surround Paul with and they just couldn't seem to make it work so now he wants out.
Does this make Deron more likely to leave when his contract is up or does Deron continue to be the Paul antithesis and stay with the Jazz?

Some fans are acting like that one guy that has a hot girlfriend but he is so paranoid of losing her that he focuses all his attention on that instead of having a good time. In the end, the guy loses the girl because he becomes so obsessed about losing her.

If Al Jefferson delivers. Deron is staying , I think that's what it all comes down too.

If Deron leaves when his contract is up, he leaves. Thats it. I agree with hoops4life. You can't let the fear of a player leaving 2 or 3 years from now govern your actions today. Consistently put the best team you are able to on the floor and let the rest shake out. That is all you can do....

I will lose all my respect to Deron if he leaves due to trend. It's not that easy to put a contender in Utah and people are working really hard on that. Show some respect, Mr. Williams.

This stuff really makes me P.O'd! I just lost any respect I had for CP3. Go play in KNY and suck it up with Amare.

Looks like the new list is Mavs, Por, Magic, and Knicks.

I hate this trend. I was sure glad to see MJ and others bash it.

Chrissy Paul is a little pootie tang. He signed with the Maverick Carter agency and now he is letting them pull his strings. Im sick of the league getting high-jacked by primadonna athletes. The Hornets ought to tell Paul to go f*ck himself and if he decides to sit and not play, they should sue him in federal court for breach of contract.
Here's to hoping there's a lockout. Something needs to be done to shift the power away from the players a little bit and back to the owners....

Trade him to the Clippers, give the little a prick something to think about while he rehabs the rest of his career.

It's funny. The two players the NBA and ESPN were so proud of playing for their home teams, both wanted out, and in weak spoiled brat ways. Just think of the legends they could have become.
This new trend in the NBA is going to kill the NBA. Sure, it will be great for those teams and their markets, but I would not be surprised if the Hornets moved from NO in a couple years after they trade Paul. I have lost a lot of interest in the rest of the league. It is truly becoming the worst spoiled brat league in all of sports.
I would say that the rookies are the only hope for the NBA, but who knows if they won't act the same way.

If Paul goes to the KNicks, then Dwill will be the starter for the Western allstar team for the rest of his career.

Wouldnt you guys want out of the Hornets sinking ship to go to Lakers or even the rebuilding Knicks. A BBall player has a limited amount of time in their careers and they dont want to be wasting on a team not trying to make itself better. Unlike KOC and the Millers this summer, what do the Hornets have going for themselve? They have over-paid over-rated playes on their roster because of bad management. Cant blame him for being upset!!!

They also have a lot of expiring contracts coming up. I'm not saying they are going to be a good team, I'm just saying they have that possibility.

Chris Paul being traded to the lakers or Knicks or the Magic what would the hornets want? Would the lakers give up a combination of Odom, artest, walton or sasha? The knicks could give Curry and Ronny Turiaf or a combination of a lot of low level players and Orlando could give the Hornets Nelson and Petrius or Gortat. Which do you think the Hornets would rather take?

I just don't see Chris Paul playing well in the triangle, so I don't think the Lakers have a real shot.

I do think that Chris would do well in Orlando. New York I guess could work as well. That would be nice to get Paul out of the West as well.
