Knicks fan: In His Last Year, Will DWill be on the market?

Hey Utah, I come in peace. We in NYC are still pissed about Lebron and his management people who are also screwing up CP3. We want no connection to Lebron's people. DWill, on the other hand, has a reputation of being his own man, which I expect very much and I love his game. So, if he's going to leave, I was wondering what kind of assets it would take to get him. A trade where we both win.
What are your positions of need? We'll have more assets by the time this would happen, and maybe could help you out with some holes you have in your roster.
Bottom line, do you guys think Deron will be tradeable in his last year? I heard that he's really upset with the Jazz not doing anything to be competitve this summer (sorry I forgot the source, I think he said it at Team USA tryouts a couple weeks ago).
If we'd have to take some extra guys, so be it. Also, we do have a solid PG in Felton we could trade

and if the deal happens now, you could get Curry's expiring contract. Plus, Melo will be out of the Western conference.
Let me know what you guys think....we won't take AK47 methinks, sorry.

Ok thank you very much. Have fun.
And I can't blame you at all. You can get far in the west if Melo and CP3 leave (I doubt both go to NYC)

"I heard that he's really upset with the Jazz not doing anything to be competitve this summer"
I heard that he's really pleased with the Jazz for acquiring Al Jefferson. You do realize that happened, right? And Deron Williams has already said he wants to play for a winner, so why the hell would he go to the Knicks?

Melo and CP3 are no threat to the Jazz.

Come on now; let's not tear into the guy...
In short: no, Deron won't be on the market. And I'd have to agree with my fellow Jazz fan that there's no one on the Knicks roster of any interest to me. But, provided we can't agree on an extension with him, you may get a shot at him in free agency.

Simply this.

Even if he leaves the Jazz in two years (which I doubt he will), it won't be for the Knicks.

Seems to me that the Jazz have put a strong team around him. I'm not sure why he'd want to leave, but, lets see how the team does this year first.

I think he will want to play on a championship contender, not just a perennial playoff early loser.

i think this whole lebron mess will change a lot of players minds about moving to winning team. especially with all these legends speaking out against what he did. and now paul is doing the same thing demanding a trade to a winning team.
maybe it's the homer in me talking, but i dont imagine williams having the same issues. he is too prideful to take the easy way to a 'ship. we've seen his pride in his games. i think he want to be the man, and he wants support. i dont think he wants to tag along on a team to a championship and a be a ring chaser. but i could be wrong.
but we'll see how this season goes with the miami experiment in the nba. a lot of players will be looking to see how they do and what kind of success they have.

I think it will come down to what the Jazz FO shows as far as building a championship team when AK's contract is up. I would hope the FO works with Deron in this process... give him a voice and an incentive to stay.

What they should do, if they really want to retain him, is sign a big extension now, because he will get more money that way than when the new CBA comes out. That is the guaranteed way to keep him.

I think Dallas would be on his list since it's his home town (technically, The Colony-about 20-30 minutes away) and they're not afraid to spend money and make big trades. But, I'm sure the big markets will make a run for him and he would be stupid not to listen. Hope he breaks this trend and stays in Utah. I'm sure Deron is pleased that the jazz took some risks this year to still keep them competitive.

Provided Bell, Jefferson and Okur (when healthy) play their standard basketball, the Jazz should be a step closer to be a established contender for several years. Williams will stay where he is (and will ever be) THE man, surrounded by a first class organization with a serious and permanent competitive mindset.

I think he would consider his options. It depends on the next CBA a lot. It's not worth discussing untilit's close since it won't be to New York because he likes to party down or anything. He will look for his best opportunity to fulfill his personal career goals.

He'll go the Mavs waaaaay before the Knicks, that being said as long as utah continues their winning ways I don't see Deron Leaving.

There are rule to extentions and Deron can not sign one right now.

I'm not going to be that presumptuous or polly anna, but if Jefferson and Hayward work out the Jazz will be very desirable place to win games.

Stupid Knick fans, We do not want to go through what Cleveland has been through for the next two years. Why dont you just draft your own allstars, oh yea, you dont have any draft picks.
