Fantasy Jazz Team

Being some what realistic... if we could have 1-3 players on our roster to help fill positions who would it be? I know this would never really happen... but... what if?

1. Dwight Howard. I have always admired Dwight Howard, and playing with D-Will could produce some amazing basketball.
2. Amare Stoudemire. Again some one who has a lot of potential and loads of talent as is.
3. Carmelo Anthony. There has been talk on the boards about feelings towards Carmelo and I would say that I think his attitude could be the shot in the arm the Jazz need.

Again, fantasy.

Amen to that!

Give me Howard anytime. If the Jazz had Howard, we'd win 70 games and sweep the Finals. Too bad it would never happen :o

I've always wanted Bogut. Couldn't be a better fit for us. Good game down low, decent range, and he'd be amazing making decisions at the top of the key -- to say nothing of his defensive qualifications.

Pau Gasol. Could you imagine him with Deron feeding him the ball?
Dwayne Wade. My favorite SG to watch play and is very much in his prime.
Gerald Wallace. His defense on our team would be amazing. We would have plenty of scoring otherwise.

D-Will/Price/Mason Jr
Raja Bell/Miles/Mason Jr
AK/Hayward
Millsap/AK
Big Al/Memo/Fes(a focused Fes)

Oh hey, just two more pieces and my fantasy team is complete!

Seriously tho, I am really excited to watch this team play. Hopefully we can return to the hardnosed play that we all used to be so proud of.

You can't be serious? Everyone knows Rose from Golden Girls was a total ball hog, and Robocop totally juices his baby food. Other than that tho, pretty solid line-up. Good luck getting Frank out of New York, New York.

The LeBron haters need to relax. The dude is the best player in the NBA. If you dont want him on your team you are maniac. LOOK AT THE TEAMS HE HAS TAKEN TO 60 WINS!?!?!?! ITs crazy. I dare you to go check out the team that he took to the Finals in 2007. It is disgusting. I would want to join up with my friends who are of similar skill too.

Does anyone remember that story that Harpring told on a telecast last year when he said that the first time that he played against LeBron in 2003 he called his Dad and told him that he just played against the best basketball player of all time? Thats how much respect other players have for him.

For some reason, Lebron iso ball gets boring for me after a while. He does amazing things, that's for sure, but I care more about team ball. You think he would play within the Jazz system? I doubt it. I guess we'll see how he plays now that he has very good teammates around him.

Best of all time? Far from it. He may have the most potential, but it takes much MUCH more to be the best of all time.

Agree. Having LeBron (or Melo or any other me-centric ball player for that matter) aboard kinda messes up what this team is about. The Jazz loses that identity if LBJ comes over.

I would never doubt the talent of LeBron, and I can totally understand that players hold him in high esteem. But like Hammerdunk says, its about team ball, I watch and love basketball because of the team, not the man.

I know LeBron in an amazing player and I want to see how the Heat do this season, truly a history year in basketball. I still don't like him... Its like saying I like Kobe Bryant and I don't think ANYONE on the Jazz board could ever stand behind Kobe Bryant. Maybe its personal but still, I don't like Lebron and I want to curb check Kobe more than any human being on this earth.

I have infinitely more respect for Kobe than LeBron. Kobe has some transparent false modesty issues now and again, but he's a better, more reliable player, with more heart and smarts than LeBron could ever dream of.

... and I've always had a soft spot for the way Kobe admired Stockton.
