T.J. Ford?

Post#1 » by QuantumMacgyver » Thu Aug 12, 2010 12:31 am

If the Pacers do indeed buyout Ford, should the Jazz consider him? Not sure how much interest there will be around the league for him, but he had serious potential once and is still relatively young.

If he'll play for the veteran's minimum, I'm all over it. I'd probably give him the rest of the MLE not used on Raja if necessary, but I doubt the Millers are in the mood for that. A two year deal maybe, so that we're not risking much, but he doesn't have to feel like he's auditioning for other teams while he learns the offense this season.

Worst case scenario, he doesn't work out and Ronnie remains our primary back-up.

But I'm not sure what TJ thinks his value is...

TJ is definitely better than Price, thats not saying much, but still. I agree if we can get him cheap I don't see a reason why not.

Ford has always maintained that he is not taking a buyout so the quesiton is moot.

How about we trade him and Mike Dunleavy for AK-47?

we already have a younger Dunleavy in Hayward! Ak might have his best season in years this year. I want to hold on to him til the break and see what he can do.
