Boris Diaw Anyone?

Would anyone want to acquire Boris Diaw at the cost of AK-47?

Utah sends: AK-47 to Toronto

Bobcats send: Diaw to Utah

Raptors send: Jose Calderon to Charlotte
Reggie Evans + Marcus Banks + Miami's first round pick to Utah (10 million in expiring)

I think Diaw would excel in Sloans system as he's a player that can play multiple position and he'd be playing with his former teammate Raja Bell.

The Bobcats would get a PG which they don't have at the moment.

The Raptors get a SF and an expiring.

I don't know if you caught it, but in the France vs. USA game, Diaw looked pretty out of shape

That's honestly giving up far too much for Diaw. Remember just how much the Rockets got out of McGrady's expiring, and he hadn't played for nearly a year. AK may be injury prone, but nothing in comparison to T-Mac. If, and that's a definite big "IF", the Jazz trade AK it'll be for a lot more than Diaw. That being said, I'd really like to pick up Diaw. I agree that he would excel in the Jazz system, but I don't know much about his contract.

If the Jazz are to trade AK, it'd have to be because they can save some money and get under the luxury tax, but in this deal we'd actually get more salary this season and an extra 9 million in the next one. Diaw is not worth it: he's a talented player but I don't see him well under Sloan and his trade value is not that high. I'd rather keep AK.
