Just had to post this. I thought this was quit funny and very glad the Jazz no longer have this guy. He left no too early in my book and the Lakers are paying a big price for a veteran on the roster. I was checking out some stats for fantasy this year and found the worst 50 players as on Hollingers PER. Guess were Fisher was?
24th worst player in the league.
This means tons more for a starter and any player that is on the court a lot. For players not on the court much and on the court during junk time take it for what it is.
(Bummer here, Price was 44th, the only Jazz player)

Well, his presence seems to work out well enough for the Lakers so live and let live I guess.

Yea, per doesnt tell the whole story. I dont think Fisher hurts the Lakers at all. he is a solid player and they dont need him to score, but he is good enough to keep defenses honest.

True they don't need him to score any team that has Kobe, well......I think it is more in spite of Fisher not because of him. He stinks on defense too, I remember seeing him watch faster PG's blow right past him. But he has some defensive skills, I love his willness to take a foul and be the enforcer on the court. D-Will definitly learned that from Fisher.

The guy steps up in the crunch, what more do you want from your role players?

he's a clutch player and a real veteran leader for the lakers. even though he doesn't score a ton, i think that he would be a welcome addition to any team

I know alot of Jazz fans were angry when Fish left. Is that the general feeling on the board? If I remember correctly, wasn't the doctor he was taking his daughter to in LA? Is that why he left or am I completely wrong?

Most people were mad, because they didn't think that was the real reason; they thought it was an excuse to re-sign with LA. At the time, I supported the decision. In retrospect, I think it probably was bull, but I'm not mad about it. You have to give the guy the benefit of the doubt when his daughter was legitimately very ill.
