Oh yes, oh please. Please, please, please.
I didn't think we could afford his services. But, he'd be perfect for us.

Yeap... really hope it's true... I think most Jazz fans don't realizae how bad of a hole we have at backup PG....

I'd much rather sign Watson than fes.

Well... it crossed my mind that the doubts around Fesenko0s situation could have propelled the Jazz to take a serious look at try to take care of the long time and costly deficiencies at backup PG.
About Fes, I still think a 2 year deal worth 1.5M it''s not that bad. If the guy goes to Houston and edn up taking a step further we're going to regret it big time... much more than Mo Williams or any other player we've let go...

If Okur is going to be out for a while, Jefferson and Elson is not enough at Center. At this point of their careers Price and Gaines or camp invitee as backup point guards are better than Elson as a backup center. Signing Fesenko or another competent backup center is a bigger priority.

You just don't start a season with Jefferson and Elson as your only bigs... another one is mandatory...
But a real backup PG is that much needed too., and to pass an opportunity to grab an Earl Watson would be plainly dumb IMHO. That's when you have to throw out some money to take the next step.
Williams, Watson, Price
Miles, Bell, Thompson-or-Scheyer
Kirilenko, Hayward
Millsap, Evans
Jefferon, Fesenko, Elson, Okur(i)
That's a good roster; at least 2 capable and competitive players foe each spot and some little insurances... Jazz would be comfortable to start and see what happens at midseason tradeline...

I hope this is true and we somehow are able to sign him. I really am not a fan of having price as our back up pg. He's a nice 3rd stringer.

KOC for GM of the Year!!! Great job handling a tough off season. I was critical of his wait and see approach, but his results are what count and his results (the Jazz 2010-2011) were excellant. Watson helps alot offensively and defensively behind DWILL plus he can play some backup SG if injuries hit the Jazz. I wouldnt think the Jazz can afford him unless Toyotas are suddenly selling great in the Mountain West.

wow major upgrade over gaines, I don't see how we can afford that...watson played near what..30 min. per game for Indiana last year? Fact, he was their starter over TJ ford I think...
Plus...
Watson FT: 70%
Gaines FT: 50%
Would love to see him in camp..

If Watson were to sign for the minimum, this would be one of the best summers the Jazz have ever had.
