D-Will frustrated with Jefferson

Hopefully this will change soon. But I have some friends who play with the players regularly and word is that D-Will is getting really frustrated with Jefferson being out of position on offense and not being able to pick up the system. Again, hopefully this will change soon, Deron can be hard on guys when they are out of position (remember Andrei a couple years ago).

Just wait until Al throws up 15 pump fakes, then does a 1080 on his pivot foot, 12 more pump fakes and misses, then doesn't play any defense at all. (Not trolling)

Somebody with 9 posts on a random internet forum claims to have friends who play basketball with multiple players regularly (even though it's training camp/preseason) and "the word is"....
Forgive me if I don't put too much stock into this....

I was under the same impression hearing some of the interviews. Al seems to be a guy who has a great feel for the game, but the Jazz offense is very intricate. My guess is it will take a long time for him to adjust and that it will cost him minutes on the floor.
Not sure if this is true, but I guess we'll see after a few games how Jefferson is doing.

This is good news. Deron is taking control. This is his team now.
Better get with it, or get out!

Not in Utah Jazz Basketball! Still takes five guys, and there are better ways of influencing than threats or fear. Those only have short term affects, but are detrimental in the long run.

It'll take Al a while, missing College hurts guys who need to adjust to teams with a strong system in place. But he'll figure it out.

So basically, all hope is lost.
Well it was nice fellas. See you over at the Heat board.

BOOZER >>>> Jefferson.
But I'm really curious to find out if MILLSAP >>>> Jefferson.

I see where you're coming from but for all intents and purposes this is Jerry Sloan's team. Forever. The only team where the coach can truly pull rank and get away with it. Not even Phil Jackson can do what he likes, thanks to a certain supermassive ego sporting #24.
Nonetheless it's not surprising that there will be an adjustment period. Big Al doesn't strike me as the sharpest tool in the shed, so it'll take some time.

I figured we were getting a short video clip of Deron making thinly-veiled remarks. I take this -- and I apologize to the OP if it's legitimate -- with a few hundred thousand grains of salt.

Are you out of your mind? Do you not realize that Boozer would be currently getting crucified on this board with that injury just before the season? Boozer was a great offensive weapon, but a weapon is useless if it can't be used. What a numb-nut statement...
BTW, if Sap > AJ, then we're either really screwed, or Sap is a lot better than any of us thought.

Forgiven...you don't have to believe me, your loss. FWIW - one of them played professionally in Europe and the other played college ball here locally. They also claim trying to talk with Fes is like speaking to a 9 year old, that Evans is one of the craziest athletes they've ever seen but neither of those items are news to anyone here thus why I left them out of the original post.

I played Division III ball in Maryland, and Steve Blake told me he's SUPER frustrated with Andrew Bynum. For what it's worth.

No reason to get upset with the guy. If you don't believe him so what. I think Al will be ok.

Don't believe you but even if it was true D-Will understands he needs time to learn and adjust.

I don't think it's anger, so much as eye-rolling manifesting itself in smartass remarks.

If you don't believe me - no worries, I can understand. The only reason I posted it was because I was a little surprised - I'm actually very excited about Jefferson being here and hope he does great, I was a little disappointed to hear about D-Will's frustration but hopefully Al can figure it out in time and things will be fine.

If it is a lie it's very nuanced. I think it's third person info that may or may not be exaggerated. I don't think what I saw at the scrimmage or the box score really contradicts this. They haven't been running plays through Jefferson. They are running Boozer plays through Millsap.

I have no reason to lie to you guys. At the same time I understand if you choose to dismiss what I say. The game tonight appeared to mesh with their comments but it's early and Al will hopefully adjust with time. They rave about Evans and tonight he showed us why - hard not to like his athleticism. It's not like their comments were anything that surprising - I just hadn't heard about Al struggling to pick up the plays yet and thus thought it was worth posting.
