Our ex's.

I always like to see what our former players are doing after they leave our team, and as everyone knows this year we lost quite a few players.
Last night Matthews, Brewer and Korver combined for this doozy of a stat line:
11/5/4 2 TO's on 4/18 shooting and 0/5 from deep.
Just for fun, lets look at what our rookies did combined last night!
20/7/0 2 TO's on 8/16 shooting and 0/2 from deep.

I think you meant Brewer instead of Miles.

I wish Miles was an ex after last night.
... kidding... mostly.

Matthews killed it in his first game against the Suns and I know he will do well. As far as Korver and Brewer go...I don't see them being that great in Chicago, especially Brewer.

Korver looked terrible on defense, as well.

Brewer peaked with us. He will never be more than he is now.
Korver peaked with us. We actually used him in screens coming off curls and he is a highly underrated team defender IMHO. Other teams see him as a long distance threat only, which is a shame because he can do alot of damage from the midrange game as well. But I dont see him getting the burn he got with the Jazz...
Matthews played in a system that played to his strengths with the Jazz. I dont see him being quite so productive backing up Roy.
I would expect all three to have less production this season...but Matthews definitely has the better upside.

Korver's defense dropped after his knee problems. I thought he played pretty solid D for us before last season. That's why Sloan played CJ more minutes last year.

Matthews isn't just backing up Roy. He's also backing up Batum at the 3 and even brings the ball up the floor a little bit as a backup to Miller. He should average somewhere in the range of 20-30 minutes this season. So far he's been REALLY productive for us, he had an off night against the Clips, but I don't think anyone is that worried. He's been well worth every penny far as I'm concerned.

Matthews has been playing really well. One of the best stories in the NBA. That said, I'll boo the **** out of him if he blows up against the Jazz.

Being a ex of a team that will start 2-6 is not such a bad thing me thinks.

Boozer probably did him a favor.

Brewer was a great fit with D-will. He worked perfect in outr system. I wish he shot the ball like Wes , we would have never got rid of him!Not a fan a Bell early and CJ has been awful!

I feel bad that Brewer's career took such a **** turn when he left the Jazz. I hope he's able to put it all together and play back to his potential he showed.

Chris Humphries played 40 minutes tonight for the Nets. He went for 13 points, 18 rebounds (6 offensive), 2 blocks, and 3 assists to defeat the Cavs.
