Iggy anyone?

Since the team is coming off 2 huge wins, it doesnt make since to make a trade. Clearly, the Jazz need to see how they play once Memo comes back before deciding whether to add any pieces. Iggy is rumored to be traded with Hornets in the mix offering just expiring contracts. But at the trading deadline, would you trade...

Okur (expiring contract) and Gordon Hayward for Iggy? Can Iggy even play SG? His long arms at SG with AK-47 long arms at SF would cause other teams wing players to be shut down. I would have to see how the team is playing before making such a trade. If Raja picks up his play and starts hitting his shots more consistently, then a trade may not be necessary. Trading away Hayward who will be a good player is difficult as sacraficing the future. KOC has shown to be agressive this summer, so it is not out of the realm of possibility.

This deal suggested maybe best deal sixers would see for Iggy's inflated contract so I think they would do it.

Yes please!!! I love Iggy's game and he would be an awesome fit for this team. I've wanted him here in Utah for ages now...only problem is the money....

that is the luxury of having a point guard like d will, any player like Igoudala etc is more then likely to thrive as long as their IQ is high enough to handle Jerry Sloan's offense. Hell I would target the crap outta G Wallace or someone like him to play alongside AK and D will, that's some smothering D right there on the perimeter with wallace and ak providing shot blocking as well. Jazz need length badly to match with the Lakers, I'm sick of a Lakers Celtics final.

The only fault with players like Iggy, Ariza etc is that their contracts are overvalued making them an expensive addition as a 3rd or even 4th wheel on the Jazz. For the record I think G Wallace is undervalued due to his D and intangibles. Portland really pissed in Utah's cornflakes by poaching Matthews. Now I most likely am over valuing his play as I did Brewers initially thinking that trade was a terrible one for the Jazz but Matthews sure would be improving/coming off the bench still.

They might like Hayward enough. But, they might not. Actually the Jazz might like Hayward so much that they would object. Hard to predict.

Okur has another year to run on his contract after this season. I'm a bit out of the loop in terms of trying to match the contracts and wiggle room if they are not even but I doubt the Sixers would want it this year if it's not expiring. AK is probably the only real valuable and moveable piece on the roster and I'm not sure if I'd want to part with him.

Umm, ofcourse I'd do it, but why would Philly do this? Lets say they wanted to trade him, wouldn't they get someone in return instead of a guy with just a year in his contract, and an unproven rookie? Besides Igoudala doesn't have a monstrous contract, it's pretty fair if you ask me.

Sixers do it for sure. Sixers want to get out his contract as they already cant get rid of Brands contract. They may want the Jazz to throw in another future #1 pick or Evans. I am not sure the Jazz do it. Iggy has a long contract that will be expensive for the Jazz especially since they have to pay DWILL and Jefferson as well. The Jazz also would hate to trade Hayward since he is one of their highest picks ever.

Tough decision but thinking of Ak-47 and Iggy on the wings with Al Jeffderson and Millsap up front lead by DWILL. The Jazz would have 5 guys in their starting lineup that are Allstar game quality and still have Miles and Fess coming off the bench. That team could win it all but at a price to the owner.

I'm a big Wallace fan too. Against less bulky lineups, Wallace at the 3 and Kirilenko at the 4 would make for an incredible defensive tandem. We could never get him, though, unfortunately.

That pretty much sums it up, yeah. I'm very happy with AK's play so far, and it's time to reap the financial rewards of having held on to him this long by letting his contract expire.

I really like Iggy's game. Since we are speculating, I think a trade of Okur plus Hayward may work salary wise, or even Jefferson as a center piece (unthinkable a month ago, but after seeing Millsap's play...). Again, won't happen, but it would be awesome if we could get iggy.

I worry that the sixers wide open system is too different from ours but i guess Korver did well! Iggy is a power house and would bring Brewers game back to our offense. Iggy is a far better shooter from the outside, but he's similar to Brewer when it comes to getting to the basket fast!

I look for the Clippers and the Sixers to be giving away some nice pieces around the trade deadline. The Clippers have some players who could help our bench. Doug collins has always loved Ak so maybe we could get Iggy. Getting Iggy here is about as realistic as Karl and his shape-ups coming here!
