Long rebounds

One of if not the MOST talked about aspect of the Utah Jazz right now is our rebounding or lack there of. But, I have noticed that in most cases, our rebounding wose ocurr on long rebounds or ackward bounces which one can attribute to bad luck, but when it happens over and over then one has to wonder: Is there anything that has to be done to prevent these type of offensive boards to the other team? Is there something we aren't doing right or are we just the most unlucky team in the league right now when ot comes to how the ball bounces off the rim?

The thing is because on most cases, there isn't much our bigs can do differently, namely Al, and everybody is using him as scape goat when for example, last night he had a monster night on the glass, and we gave up the same amount of offensive boards as they had defensive (24) which is just stupifying. The main cause long rebounds.

What has to be done?

Guards have to be more involved.

You're absolutely right about all the long rebounds, I've noticed that too. But at the same time there IS more that Big Al can do, it's clear he sucks at boxing out and I can thing of several specific instances where that hurt us.

It's frustrating because it doesn't take talent, just willpower and basic know-how.
